I have 32lg2000 tv, and toshiba notebook running on windows 7. I've connected notebook to a tv with hdmi cable (no display ajdusment- just pluged and pc desktop was shown on tv screen) and it worked just fine for a couple of times. Today when i wanted to watch a movie, plugged in hdmi and on a tv screen it just says "no signal". Try on both hdmi ports on tv - same thing. With a same cable it runs on another tv, so i assume notebook is ok and cable is ok. What's the problem??? Please help!!!!
You need to make sure the TV is set to the same input that you are plugging into. This is done in the video menu.
I did! I turned off both tv and notebook. First turned on tv (no hdmi in option to choose), then when I turned on notebook, hdmi1 become available, a green bad resolution (not black as on notebook) screen "starting windows" showed on the TV for a second and then nothing. In my notebook display settings there is a 32LG2000 option, so it's detected. I've reaed the TV user manual and nothing there. It's really ******* me off, beacuse it worked - just pluged and watched, what happened in the meantime???

Okay so you have the HDMI cables from both the DVD and the Cable box plugged into the reveiver?
SOURCE: LG 37LG30 HDMI no sound problem
This is more probably a software fault within the TV. They need instructions for HDMI inputs & a no sound is a related fault. I would get in touch with your dealer to arrange the TV to be updated to cure this problem. Hope this helps.

one quick fix you can try. plug in the HDMI cable, slect a digital audio sound output from the sound settings on your machine, then leave it connected and restart it. It just might work.
SOURCE: "No signal" sign on TV screen using HDMI selector
it sounds like a refresh issue, double check you selector and make sure it fits the refresh of the tv. i had this once with a sharp where the tv was 120hz and the selector was 60 and it created a no signal and when it did come in it was jumpy. if you have a 120 tv then selector should be the same.
