Kodak ESP 5 Error Code 3821

Hello--I just bought this new printer and received this code immediately upon turning it on to set it up. I can't seem to get anything to work from the menu button either to figure out what the error is. Any help? I had a paper jam, tried to correct, then got error code 3821. How do I fix?

Same problem. Anyone know a fix or even why this has happened?

This is my second Kodak printer, after the first one stopped working 12 months in. The esp 7 seems to leak ink at the head but also comes up with the same message 'paper jam' - even though there is no paper in. I've downloaded the lastest drivers/updates etc. Never had this problem in the pat with Epson or Canon - Do buy Kodak - it's cheap on ink but not if the printer doesn't work after two weeks!

  1. Remove the paper tray.
  2. Disconnect the power cord, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.
NOTE: The printer will reset and eject the paper. If the paper does not eject, try to remove it manually.
  3. Replace the paper tray.
  4. Press the Print button on the printer to resume printing.

I had the same problem, but after pressing the OK button when the paper jam came up again I pressed the CANCEL button and was able to print my document. See if that works for you too.

See if the printer is set to turn of/sleap after X minutes. This is a standard setting with networked printers. Also, you may check the settings and see if there's a Wake On LAN setting, you'll need to turn this on of course. then again, it may be an issue of poor contact of the cable with the printer or the wall socket, so you'll need to check both to verify the printer gets good contact.
Also, about the PDF issue, you may want to set the printer not to spool but to send printjob immediately to the printer. This is done from the control window in any application you use to print with.

Unable to send or receive fax

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for this printer, you can get them from the HP website

Let me know how this goes and whether you need any help doing this or if you have any questions

If this doesn't work then I have a few other ideas for what it wrong.

You could also try a system restore if the drivers don't work

Printer won't print anything.

Try to uninstall the drivers and turn off the printer. Then install the drivers back on and turn the printer back on. And then make sure this printer is set as default.

Canon Pixma Mini 260 - Error Code 5100

I'll presume you are confidant you have installed the LATEST drivers and software according to provided installation instructions.

I'll tell you though, I think in all likelyhood you did. Why? Because per Canon technical documenation, error codes 5xxx thru 9xxx displayed on the device's LCD have only a two pronged solution troubleshooter:
  1. SOLUTION 1: Reset the device (refer to a previous post of mine for detailed instructions).

  2. SOLUTION 2: The mini260 may require repair.
OPTIONS (if solution 1 doesn't work):
  1. Since it's new, contact the vendor who sold you the printer and insist upon an immediate exchange. As always, whenever possible, get yourself out of the middle and let the vendor work with the manufacturer (Canon) to resolve.
  2. Contact Canon's toll-free technical support:
Call 800-828-4040 (Mon-Fri 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. EST, excluding holidays), OR ...
email @ https://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportMailerAct&fcategoryid=259&modelid=14098

After all, it wouldn't hurt to let their tech-rep have a crack at it, but more importantly, corroborate/confirm it's in need of repair (potentially adds one more bullet to your chamber).

Good luck, and please post back to let me know how things work out, or if you have any further questions.

Hello, RE: LEXMARK Z1380 The light on the power button keeps flashing and im receiving a message telling me the printer cannot communicate with the PC. I have reconnected all the wires, i have also...

This is going to sound crazy, but I just spend days with the same cannot communicate with the printer problem with my Z1300. I was ready to buy a different printer when I decided to look on Lexmark's site. The fast blinking power light indicates a paper jam. I thought... sure.. uh huh. I turned off the printer, took the stack of paper out, which didn't seem jammed at all, put one piece in, turned on the power ... and the blinking had stopped. Yep ... after doing the countless fixes I found on the net... including reinstalling drivers.. deleting usb ports.. etc... it was a paper jam! The printer works fine again. Hey.. what would you expect from a printer that cost under $25. lol

Xante Ilumina 512 error code

this error can be caused by a new or existing PC on your network. EXAMPLE: the network settings on new DELL pc's are default set to control the network and repair any conflicts..it seems dells dont like Ilumina's, and they get this error code.
Disable the network control function in the DELL settings.
And this error will not re appear until another dell is installed.
