If you have a sd card reader on your computer then simply slot it into the card reader and windows will pick the card up so you can transfer (copy paste, or cut and paste) the pictures onto your computer. Or is you have not card reader on your computer you can by a sd card adapter that can slot inside the usb port and will do the same thing a card reader would. They are very cheap and can be picked up in most electrical outlets that deal with pc's

I hope this helps

I have taken photos off the 4 gb disk and stored them on my computer. I would like to add new photos and don't seem top be able to understand how to do that. I have a folder of bird s that I would like to...

to put photos onto your disk is the reverse of taking the photos off. all you do is drag them from your computer folder into the folder on your disk. simple!

if you tried that but it didn't work then maybe your disk is full- in which case you will need to delete some of the items on there to make room.
To see if the disk is full:
1) on a pc go to the disk and right click, choose properties and it should tell you in a new window.
2) on a mac highlight the disk and then (in the top left hand bar) go to File and choose Get Info. This can also be done using the short cut 'cmd' and 'I'

hope that helps

SanDisk microSD/microSDHC card not working for my computer

Hi there!!!

I can understand your issue..

When you say if you connect the card into phone and connects to the computer and gets an error message as I/O drive error then i'd say the file format in the card is not recognized by the computer.

I'd suggest you to format the card through the computer. Here is the steps :

1) Open My Computer
2) Right-clicking on Removable Disk
3) Select Format, select the checkbox for "Quick Format".

Hereby check this screen shot

sounds like the usb ports on your computer are going dead.. You may have to use your drive on another computer to retreave data then put it on cd..

Infected SD Card? or Computer?

This can happen when the card is removed when Windows is still accessing it. Even when you think you are not doing something, Windows could be. I am 99% certain there is nothing malicious on your system and the cause was early ejection.

To prevent this from happening next time, before removing the SD card try using the "Safely Remove Hardware" tray icon to safely remove your device. TIP: Do not remove any storage device (i.e. SD Card, Flash drive, etc.) if the light is blinking.

Happy computing!
