I have an '85 Porsche 928 with a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 that just stopped working. All the lights and display work and it seems to tune into stations but no sounds. Is there an amp that might be defective??

Re: No sound from Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23
Yes , there is an internal amp that will need to be replaced , but will also need to be tested for any other components on the amp that may have caused it to fail , unless you were just cranking it up, then the amp just burnt out and will need replacement

Blaupunkt radio's are kind of funny when it comes to different vehicle say a BMW or Renault or some of them have to start with a 1 or a 0 or just a standard Blaupunkt. In any case I ran it for a BMW, a Renault, a standard and the kind that has to begin with a 1 or a 0. I came up with 3 different codes. They are 9742, 1742 and 6237. Hope one of them work for you. This is new decode software I use for my business that I just purchased and has worked 100 percent on Ford radios but this is the first Blaupunkt I have ran it for so I am curious as to if it worked or not so if you wouldn't mind letting me know either way by replying/commenting here or feel free to email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org I would appreciate it. Also if you have a Citreon codes are different as well as some mercedes and I would have to run it through a little different on this software. So the same apply's if you need me to run it through a different way and don't mind doing it. I really hope one of those work for you though...
Try United Radio (www.unitedradio.com). I used to work at a car stereo shop and that's where we sent all our repairs. Can't remember if they do Blaupunkt. It's a little pricey but they were very professional.
