one of my (smart) friends, made an Upgrade in my notebook and I lost microsoft office. what can I do to get it back, because i need it to open my docs'.

Insert the office discs and select the repair option from the startup screen. This will overwrite any corrupted files and registry settings.
If this doesn't work you can do a complete reinstall by uninstalling in add remove programs and restarting your computer then reinstalling office. This wont affect any of your documents and will replace your office files.

- Thought that might be the case though you didn't say so in your original post. Perhaps you should consider a FREE download of Open Office. This will allow you to open and save your docs in MS formats until you get access to the MS office discs. If interested you can get it HEREYes
