Question about HP Photosmart 8050 InkJet Printer
The USB connection to the printer doesn't work. I wondered if there is a way to take the printer apart to see if the connection is not wired? How does one take the case off these printers?
Hi from France,
I am now repairing my printer (Photosmart 8050) with the same problem. It is due to the welds of the USB pins of the socket on the printed board. It is thus necessary to open the printer by means of a screwdriver Torx. You need a little soldering iron in order to weld the four pins of the USB socket, and then I recommand to strengthen the connections and the socket by means of hot glue.
