No batteries work

I got a red aiptek isdv2.4 camcorder for christmas and when I first used it, it was fine, but after the batteries that were included died out and I tried to put new ones it didn't turn on (energizer and rasor, I think) then when I put in energizer lithium (8 times a normal one) that didn't work.At first the thing says it is full battery life at the bottom corner, then it says that it has low battery life (overlapping the current screen) after 2-8 seconds. Then when I turn it on manualy it has the green light that says it is on but the screen is still off (black).whaddo i do?

Same problem. Low battery message comes up within five minutes, and no videos can be taken. New batteries put in; same thing.

I cannot get any brand new batteries to work. I purchased one camera for each of my sons in December.

Aiptek customer support told me to take the memory card out, then replace with fresh batteries. That doesn't work.

I also used the batteries that came with the unit and they went dead in about 30 mins. I replaced them with energizer lithium batteries ant it would'nt work, just the green light would flash once. I tested the batteries and they were good, which they were brand new anyway. I then replaced them with duracell regular alkiline batteries and it started working again. I tried the lithium ones again and it would not work. Go Figure!

I went to the AIPTEK site and bought a $19 battery charger that came with 4 rechargeable batteries.. the NiMH AA batteries that the camera manual said to use. I let the batteries charge 25 hours, just like it said.... and so far so good, it's working!!!!!!

Good luck!!!

I bought a AIPTEK P-HD+ camcorder for my daughter on Christmas. She was using it for only 1 minute and it's full. Do I need to buy a SD card to be able to record?

Yes, you need to purchase a memory card. Most cameras, like yours, which do come with an internal memory don't come with a suitable amount of memory to replace the capacity of a memory card.

The camera is burnt and now its all screwed up.

To put it bluntly, throw it away. Applying the wrong power to equipment can cause too much damage for reliable repair. Even if all the bad parts could be found and replaced, other parts will have been stressed and may fail later. Also it's very likely the circuit board has been damaged as well. Replace the unit, and be very careful to use only the proper adapter in the future.

Aiptek won't turn on

Try taking the battery out and putting it back in. I don't know why, but it worked for me. Good luck!

Greetings MoMo Mo,

This camcorder does not come with a charger. It can be energized in two different ways.

1) Power this camcoreder by plugging into your computer with the included USB cable.
2) Use two AA batteries (sold seperately).

I hope this helps.

Go Ahead. Use Us.
