Question about RCA F20TF10 20" TV
I have an RCA F20TF10 20" television. I've had it for about 5yrs. and the picture quality is not so great. When I use the remote to select "Menu", when the menu appears on the screen, it's almost black and is difficult to read, unless you stand right in front of the television. When I first purchase the t.v., the menu was easy to read. I think it was blue with white letters. Anyway, I was wondering if there's a way to reset the manufacturer default settings of the television? Somewhere along the line, I must have changed something and now I'm having a difficult time adjusting the picture quality of the set. Thanks, Jacki

SOURCE: FPA Lock
After doing a little research, it looke like the front panel lock , can only be removed from the parental control menu using your remote. If your universal remote does not get you into the menu, see if you can borrow a friends rca remote long enough to get you into your menu & remove the fpa.

Have you tried to access the menu features and tried to retune the stations on digital, or are you hooked up for analog.
If you don't know about what i speak, give me a yell. email@example.com I believe my remote sensor card is bad. While this might explain why you can't turn yours off, it would not explain the blank picture. If the menu does show, i would think the picture tube is O.K. if the menu does not show, there are some other things to look at.

It sounds like your grandson found the "monochrome" setting in the menu on your remote. It may be in the "picture settings", "set-up" or "advanced" setting.
