Receiver Turned Off Won't Turn On

I just installed a Pioneer DEH-P3000IB in a Jeep. It worked fine until I turned the volume up. The receiver turned off and won't turn on. Any ideas?

Thans lil fatty 8! I used to be a professional and checked all of the fuses and coctions with an ohm meter. All checked out. I then connected then connected the yellow and red together and then connected them to the battery and the receiver works. Connected them back to the switch and battery respectively and nothing. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Well I fixed it. It seems from my old tech buddies that if you put additional fuses in line with the unit for extra protection, as I did, they have to be at least the same amp rating or higher than the decks on board fuse. A lower amp fuse can cause an impedance problem in the voltage regulator in the deck. Thanks for your help!

Something had to be hooked up incorrectly.... make sure that all wires are still connected.... make sure they are tightly together.... wires can slip out very easily unless they are soldered together.... if all else fails, it may cost a little more... but if you get it done professionally, it is worth it... make sure that none of the different colored wires touched it. Also... check the fuse in the back of the cd player.... that can also be the issue. :D hope all works well for you.... stereo equipment is not cheap by any means.... Please rate answer well :D .. and good luck!

Thanks for the rating! :D sometimes these things just happen with the reception, like with alpine, their cva series have this common problem... Have you tried replacing the antenna with maybe a billet antenna? You can get them for about 30 bucks. They get better reception then most antennas, and you can also buy low-profile billet antennas as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. :D as i said, always here to help!

Please disregard the statement i made, i accidentally made a pose under the wrong tab, my mistake. As far as this goes... lets see... i know that most cd players, if they start to overheat, can go into protect mode... have you tested this cd player in a different vehicle? I think that would be a great way do get a better look as to the issue.

No sound from new install Pioneer DEH-X6600BT

You may be using the wrong adapter. Your Durango has a DK GRN/RED wire that supplies power to the separate amplifier. Your adapter may not have provisions for connecting the steering wheel controls to your new radio. Also check 15A FUSE 4 in the junction block in case it is open.

Pioneer DEH-P3000IB problem.

I know this is an old post but just ran into the same problem with my brother in laws Pioneer Radio. Well, it turns out that the head unit has to be OFF before you try to change the subwoofer setting. THen press and use the Multi-Control knob to select SubControl and change this to REAR SP: FULL (this gives you full range sound) or REAR SP:SUB W (this is for only low, subwoofer frequencies). His radio was set to sub, which is dumb because it was installed with a 4 channel amp and 4 full range speakers. Not sure why it was setup like this in the first place but oh well...

Cant change the time

I don't have the manual, but I can tell you how to set the clock. This was a doozy to find out exactly how to do this! This technique probably will work with most other Pioneer receivers too.

Either start your car or turn the ignition key to the ACC position (so that the radio is receiving power). With the radio/CD turned off, press and hold the function button (the one in the upper right hand corner) for about 5 seconds, the hours on the clock should start to blink. Use the volume +/- buttons to change the hour, use the track up/down buttons to switch from hour to minutes. Press the power button to get the new time to set.
