Motorola q9c smartphone is frozen

motorola q9c smartphone is frozen on windows mobile screen. this happed when i updgraded and had a new phone activated. is there any way to unfreeze the phone. have tried teh soft reset with battery with no luck...

master reset the phone by hold the center key and the power, then follow onscreen instructions, let it sit on the windows mobile screen, before you master reset try turning the phone off, and taking out the memory card, then turn back on, if same thing happens....do the master reset
