Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
I was on the Internet yesterday....everything was OK. Then I got a screen that said something to the effect of ''Beginning of physical damage...'' I immediately held down the power button until the computer turned off.
When I tried to start it again, it started the following loop: First the Acer screen, the the Windows XP screen, then a screen that gave me options of starting in a safe mode, or in normal, or last known good config...plus several others. It does not matter which mode I try, it does not get me out the loop.
I downloaded the Acer manual today, but couldn't find anything to help me get out the loop. Can anyone out there help me solve this problem of it looping? Thanks in advance.
What I wanted you to clarify was the message that you noted as "something to the effect of 'Beginning of physical damage'", but you only saw it the one time I see on rereading the post, so never mind.
Have you tried doing a factory restore using the recovery media? Try pressing Alt + F10 on booting to get to eRecovery Management.
