It appears your tub seal has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Smell from water remaining in grey seal

My GE washer model wcvh6400j0ww was leaking. May be standing water under your machine. The repair person thought the gasket. It turned out to be the water in-let pipe (WH41X10118 and you will need seal WH41X10119) and not the gasket. He ordered the gasket and took machine apart to replace and found cracked pipe. Take your machines front off and make sure it is the gasket leaking. Good Luck,

Shaking washing machine

Hiya,
Uneven spinning is the most common cause of jumping machines both over filling & under filling can have a simular affect but it could be something like the bushes or bearingsthese parts are designed to take all the punishment from washing & are expected to go at some point i would 1st check the load volumes you are trying to wash maybe by either reducing a load or increasing it to see if this makes a diferance in anyway if there is no differancethen i would surgest the next portacall would be the bushes or bearings..

Hope This Helps

My GE Washing machine appears to be leaking from the bottom

It sounds to me , you need the seal and bearing kit.. It is over 300.00 dollar repair, if it is an old washer I would say go get a new one

While i'm washing water is getting on my floor, I don't know if it is when spinning or washing what could be the problem?

Help me help you...Dry the floor...Set the load size to small. Let it fill and start the wash cycle. Stop the unit. Look underneath it. Is there water on the floor? If so let me know. If not, start it up again and let it complete the wash cycle. As it begins to drain, look for water on the floor. Let me know.
I am trying to help you eliminate (or isolate) a bad tub seal, centrifigual force out, or a drain pump issue. When the water actually begins to leak is the key element we need to know in order to solve your problem. :) 2CR

My Washing Machine fills and drains at the same time, what can i do? I have just about the same problem. We had put in a new drain line for my washer. This new line has been on for over a month W/O any...

Yes, it is a siphon problem.
Check the hose where it goes through the wall. It may be pinched and cutting off air.
If air cannot enter the hose it will siphon. If the hose is too low it will siphon.

Grease Leak

Unfortunately not. In addition to replqacing the blet, the transmission must be replaced. It is the only item in your washing machine that contains gear oil. It's a tough job for the do-it-yourselfer...If I can help further, I am here.
