Question about JVC AV27F476 27" TV
The sound works when watching a DVD, but not through normal cable. Any help you can give would be great! Thanks, Jan
I would suspect that your tuner section in the television has developed a problem. Since the input sound is directly input into the tv's microprocessor, then the tuner is probably the culprit and should be replaced.
The tuner section is the shiny box-type section with the cable connector attached to it. I do not recommend trying to repair this set by yourself, though. The voltages inside the television can be lethal. Please refer this unit to a repair shop , as the repair should not be much. Or, you can use a VCR as the tuner to the television, using same input that you use for your dvd player, and use the VCR remote to change channels.
Hope this helps you...
