Remove the card from the camera and look for the lock tab. On the image below, it is a yello tab located near the top of the left edge on the long side. This one is shown in the unlocked position. Yours is likely down - at the locked position. Simply push it up and reinsert into your camera and take pictures.

How do I unprotect pics on a 0lympus c-765

As it was the camera that put the protection on ..You need to put the card into the camera..And ..UN-TICK each one to unprotect them...The idea of the protected photos is so you cant erase them when you format the card.

How to delete pics off sd card via my vivicamx040

Format the memory card. This clears all data from the card and prepares it for further use.

Make sure the card isn't protected. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

You should be able to read the card whether its protected or not. In fact I always protect the card before putting it into my computer so as to prevent the computer from doing anything to the card.

I cannot delete a picture as the screen says file protected. How do I remove?

if you cant delete any pictures then your sd card is locked which means you take it out and slide the little movable plastic,
if its one pic then you must unlock it in the properties menu

My camera has this card protect on it. i cant get it off i cant take pics or delete them either please help me! and also do you know if this camera has sound and mine is touchscreeen also

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

The ViviCam 8025 does not record sound, and the screen is not a touchscreen.

Won't delete pics

Try formatting the card via the camera, that should get rid of them. Once formatted, take a photo and try deleting.

It may be worth trying another card to establish whether is a card or a camera problem.

There's a third option. Many cameras have a feature which protects pictures from deletion, if they're protected they cant be deleted.

Protected card pops up and I cant take any pics?

Remove the card from the camera.  There is a small slide tab on the card which shows a picture of a lock.  Move the slide tab to the unlock position.  If this doesn't fix it, replace the card.
