Re: amana stove with F1 beeping code.
Amana is now owned by Whirlpool. The customer service number is 800-253-1301. If you have reciepts (Proof ) of service calls you may be able to negotiate some form of concession. Good luck it can be a frustrating process.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa Error code F1 indicates electronic control failure and is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
The F1 code means that the Key Pad is defective, the book says that if pressing CANCEL for 10 seconds don't stop the beeping and resets, the Pad should be replaced. I have learned that if you unplug the unit from the wall outlet for a couple of minutes, most of the time the pad will reset by itself.

This is for a Whirlpool F1 code, but that code means the same on virtually all brands. Try this: You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. Here is the procedure for determining your problem.
Disconnect power to stove
Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire apx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for codes and listen for the beep.
If you get a code and beep, replace the ERC.
If after apx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad. NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.
yes i have a solution ! lets all get a class action lawsuit against amana and all get new stoves. this has happened to me 4 times that f1 and the beeping that would not stop until i unplugged it. do not buy another part or thing call your attorney i bought three extended warranty's for this stupid stove i paid $1400.00 for and i want the best stove amana offers or i will start a class action lawsuit against this company. this is a defected product and no consumer needs to put up with that. i bought mine in 2005 and it broke every year since they are going to make it up to me , look at toyota.they know people will not buy garbage anymore they jumped on that to fix the cars. do not take it anymore you paid for a stove that works not one that keeps breaking down year after year. sure everyone wants to sell you parts bull get a new stove at their expense
The owner's manaual states that F1 means Control Malfunction.
The manual recommends the following:
Press Oven cancel pad or disconnecting power supply may eliminate F code. If failure continues contact an authorised dealer.
