My 685AVR trips itself off immediately after being plugged in. Even with nothing plugged into it. Is something faulty with the product itself, or am I missing some simple solution?

Raymond,

Replace the battery and that should do it. If it's a 12v 7ah battery then you can buy one for 20USD w/ 1 year factory warranty.

One side of my Cyberpower 525SL stopped working. When i press the red button the green light comes on, but goes off quickly accompanied by a beeping. The TV, dish, and vcr/dvd continues to work. Help...

Hi droger68,

The reason for the issue that you have right now with your Cyberpower 525SL is a bad battery. This means that some of the battery relay's component or relay has failed. You may contact the manufacturer if it's still under warranty. If not you may check this site they do have battery for your machine.

Hope this helps.

If the battery is dead, but the charging system is working will that stop the Battery/Surge side from working?

If you still have your dead battery connected it will work as long as there's no power loss, there are rare cases this won't happen, you can replace the damaged one for a motorcycle one or even a car battery as long as they're 12 volts and polarity setup is right, inverse polarity will kill the UPS so be careful.

I have a cyberpower 485VA and after 10 sec it turns off and beaps

It sounds like you need a new battery. The UPS will not turn on if it detects that there is a bad battery. Here's a link to a replacement: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cp485sl-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html
