I connect my alpine cva 1003 to valor dv-169T dvd player. sounds come out but the screen is not getting connected to dvd player. i connect red, white and yellow wires.

if evrything is ok with the dvd (make sure the dvd is working fine), you need to hook up the yellow/ blue wires and yellow / black wires one for parking breack and the other for the breack chek the diagram on top of the alpine radio .

I have a alpine cva1003 and cant get the screen off safety mode to play the dvd's. I have the parking break wire from the radio, which is yellow and white connected to the single parking break wire. is...

In order for the video to work you need to hook up both the parking and the foot brake leads so you would have to press in the foot brake pull the ebrake let up on the foot brake then the video should come up but if u want to watch videos all the time moving or stopped youll need to do some custom work so:

Short of making a microprocessor to do the sequence the easiest way is the two switch method. just mount two switches together and do the sequence.

Although the idea of only one switch and the foot brake hooked up correctly might work too.

The best way to go about it is to hook up the system as is should be and use a voltmeter to see what voltage changes are on the lines. Then hook up the switches accordingly.

hope that helps!!

Screen will not come out

If you hear the motor try to run but the screen will not move then the plastic slides inside are most likely cracked and warped. This will make the screen catch on the rough edges. Not sure of the part number for the assembly to replace it but this is what I just found on my unit.
