Question about Sony BRAVIA XBR KDL-V26XBR1 26 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

I can't get rid of the information bar across the top of my TV

I have just bought and taken delivery of a 32" Sony Bravia but after setting up the channels I have an "information bar" across both the analogue and AV2 channels. I can't get rid of it and have read the instruction booklet cover to cover.
Help please?!

When I turn on the TV I get "VIDEO II Component IT theneaves after a few seconds

My problem is similar, however, the fix offered by the responder doesn't work. I have a KDL 32V4000 Bravia and when viewing any external inputs the top information bar won't go away. I push on the "i" button, and can cycle through the various modes including the 'no info on screen' mode. However, after a few seconds, the top bar will return. The best I can do (from memory) is have the time permanently on - this prevents the info bar returning, but is none the less unacceptabel.

Hope someone can help before I ring the seller....

Why is my sony bravia not tuning in and can you tell me how to fix it

The TV is probably not seeing the signal. Are the cords connected in the right slots on the cable box and TV (cable TV wire into the cable input connector on box, and cable out to the TV in the cable out connector on the box, and then connected to the right connector on the back of the TV)? Or, maybe you may need to go into the TV screen options and choose the the right external source that will allow the TV to see the signal.

The top half of my Sony Bravia 32" screen plays as

Hi,
I'm sorry, it sounds problem with lcd panel (screen) that is defective and causing lower half distorted image. If tv is under warranty then call number written on warranty documents for warranty cover or lcd panel (screen) replacement would cost you approx 80% of new tv price.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.
