To download the drivers for your laptop, the best place is to get it from the manufacturers website.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Missing Matshita DVD-RAM UJ880AS

Go into my computer, if DVD driver is shown it will run the DVD-RAM driver," may mean the unit must be replaced". If on the other hand it is missing the driver, it will need to be re-installed, or you can try a systems restore to bring the computer back to an earlier time before this became a issue.

Busco matshita dvd-ram uj-840s driver para el windows xp. Alguien me puede ayudar? No lo encuentro en ninguna pagina. En la pagina oficial solamente existe para el windows 2000. Gracias.

Not sure of your question; I read only English.

There are many sources for the drivers for your DVD; many would liek you to downlaod and use their driver update programs. An advantage is if there is ever an additional update the program will let you know. Here are two examples that you might consider as sources for an updated driver:

My Matshita DVD-Ram UJ831s was working OK-ish but all of a sudden it's decided not to play dvds will play cds though? I get an I/O device error warning when I try to manually open d drive files. Also have...

Physicall your DVD-Ram is defective. I have encountered like this before and what I do is change it a new drive. No more hope to read such DVD but rather than CDs is OK.
It is due to not often use with your DVD-Ram. Before I check it in computer center but later on it fails again so I buy a new one.
It's said the Speedometer is the problem or the "EYE LENS". Can read CD's but cannot read DVDs.
Good luck!

Need driver for Matsushita dvd-ram UJ831S

Hello,

Here is how I would recover the old driver in WINDOW XP.

Open My Computer, Point the mouse cursor to the DVD-RAM drive, select, Right Mouse Click, go down along the submenu list to PROPERTIES.
Click .
Look for thumbnail HARDWARE Click, a window opens that list all the drives in your computer, Select the Matshita and press the button PROPERTIES at the bottom of the window
Select the thumbnail DRIVER
Click the button ROLLBACK DRIVER then OK.

Windows will try to restore the driver you had before you made the update.

The above solution supposes that you see a drive when you explore the computer, and that you are not talking about the FIRMWARE.

If the drive is not working properly, you may not be able to see it when you click My Computer. In that case go to Desktop, Point to my computer icon, right click , select Properties and click. Select thumbnail HARDWARE then Button Device Manager. You will see a list of all the hardware. Look for DVD/CD-Rom drives,
Click the + to expand the tree. You will see your drive possibly with a yellow exclamation point.

Select the drive, right click the mouse, choose uninstall and validate.

Next time you boot, Windows will attempt to reinstall (hopefully) the right driver.

Hope it helps

My matshita dvd's ram uj831s won't read dvd,it only reads cd's.I've tried to uninstall it and let the machine auto install it but this has not solved my problem. Please help. Thobs

If you tried reinstalling the dvd ram. there may be a problem with the eye lens of the that dvd ram.or maybe there are dusts that restrict and degrade the capability of the dvd ram to read properly. I also have the same problem with my LG DVD RAM. I tried cleaning it with a vacuum or a blower. make sure that the lens are not affected. after this my dvd works. let me know if it also works for you.. Thank you
