Question about AT&T E5965C Cordless Phone
We have an AT&T 5.8GHz; E5965C with three remotes throughout the house. We have a problem that frequently after a call is made that the phone is returned back to the charging cradle in an off-hook state. If we do not select' 'off''' on the handheld phone before it is returned to the cradle it often remains off-hook for many hours (at least until a family member notifies us that our phone has been off-hook for the majority of the day. What can we do about this? It would be OK if the phone would stay off-hook for some period of time and then after some time-out went on-hook; however, it can stay in this 'busy' state for most of the day. We have tried to re-educate everyone who uses these phones about this issue; however, everyone expects the phone to go back on hook once the phone is returned to its cradle so it seems to be a loosing battle. We are now at the point if we can not get this problem resolved, we will probably change out all of the phones in our house.
