Insignia digital converter box NS-DXA1 saying no signal
I went to the online manual you posted and began looking up the troubleshooting pages. I passed the "Controllable Brands" page on the way and found Philco listed, but not Philips which is my TV's brand. Both Tandy and RadioShack were listed, so I'm wondering if the box is incompatible with my flat-screen. (turtleboo)

Connect your Insigna unit to your television video 1 input. Connect your antenna to the Insigna. Turn on the television to video 1 source. Power on the Insignia. Now go through the auto-detect routine to set up your television stations.

520 904 906 Hope this helps. As for the insignia, if you can not click the link copy and paste. What you need is on page 18, instruction on how to program your converter. Download if you lost it and print if needed. You will need Acrobat to view this. Good luck
I have the Phillips Universal Remote (model#SRU4208WM) and I have the Insignia digital converter box (model#NS-DXA1-APT). The code was 0267. The Insignia converter box is the one the government grants work for.
Set your television to channel 3. Then power on your Insignia unit and run the auto-search function as described in the user manual found here - http://www.insignia-products.com/skins/skin_1/Topics/Documents/07-576_NS-DXA1_WEB.pdf
I just recently purchased an HD Samsung television and am trying to use it with an Insignia theater system, but picture images are night vision in blue and white. What's wrong with picture? My cable company is baffled, to say the least. What is wrong with this picture? If this system is incompatible to current quality HD television systems then it needs to be removed from market or modified.
I have had my converter box 5 days now. I hooked it up to the TV and set it up. No Problem. Except there are no instructions on how to set up the VCR/DVD player with it, which we use more than we do watching TV. Everything worked fine until on the second day we had it I read I could program the remote to turn the TV on and off. I followed the instructions and the TV went off. When I turned it back on, my remote went berserk. If I try to change a channel it will quickly flip through all the channels until I turn the converter box off. Same with the volume, it goes up and down, up and down until I shut off the box. The remote does not work unless you are about 1 foot away from the box. And the remote has never turned the TV on or off except that first time I programed it.
