I purchased a model LTF2140ES0 Frigidaire front-loading washing machine in 4/2005. I moved this fall and a few days ago my washer froze, then thawed, cracking my solenoid and flooding my enclosed porch and basement. I have replaced the solenoid and the machine operates fine except the spin cycle now sounds like it's being broadcast through a cranky megaphone. It seems to spin fine, although my husband seems to think it is not spinning as fast. We took the back off and it seems like the noise is coming from the motor. Should I replace the motor or does something else scream out at you guys? Thanks for your help.

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# LTF2140ES0, will not spin. To try and resolve your washer not spinning, please try the following:
1)Check your washer door and make sure it is completely closed.
2)Check your dispenser drawer and make sure it is completely closed.
3)Your load might be too small. Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load.
If the above does not work, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Turn the power back on and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.
I had this issue when I first purchased my stackable washer.. Because it was still under warranty, I had someone check it out. Apparently when it was installed they forgot to take out the security clamp that secures the unit during delivery.. duh!!
YEA!!!!!! thats a bad rear bearing, depending on age, id call a local authorized maytag servicer and see what they get to repalce it for you, perhaps you still have a part warr on certain parts, otherwise irts not worth the cost of repair
