We have just bought this phone, don't seem to be able to send things onto the phone via bluetooth. it just says memory full but it has got a 1gb memory card in the phone. why won't it send straight to the memory card.
The 1gb is for all your memory on your phone, from pictures to contacts... so this doesnt leave you much space to play with...you can buy external memory cards, a micro sd card is around £5 for a 4gb one, you can get up to 8gb only.... i had the same trouble.... i could only download 3 songs when i treid to sync my phone...so i had to buy a external memory... hope this helps??!! jason lee.

For your pictures you can transfer them via bluetooth just go to the pictures and click OPTIONS & SEND VIA message or bluetooth OR you can save them onto a memory card by clicking MOVE OR COPY..For the contacts go toMENU-> ADDRESS BOOK and click where it says->COPY ALL CONTACTS-> AND select HANDSET TO SMARTCHIP.
ive been trying for ages to do this and its so easy but no one seems to be explaining it easy! Your phone without the memory card only holds one or two songs. you must have songs in there for it to say memory full. Go to this song press options , file, move to extrenal. Now try and send a song through bluetooth. You will be able to recieve it now you have freed up spave on the phones own memory. Remember to save it to external straight away so u can recieve the next item. Easy peasy!
How big is the Image/Video/Sound clip your trying to send??? Are the items saved on the phone or a memory card???
System memory will include not just your Inbox, Outbox items but also whatever else is saved on the phone memory, phone numbers, images, videos, etc...
Have you formatted the memory card? You will be able to do this via the menu and settings. It could be phone is not recognising the card as it is not formatted.
Also look in menu ( iam not too familiar with menu of this phone) for the option to change default save location for files. Some phones have the option to change this. If its set to phone that could be the reason?
Another solution is does your PC have a SD card reader? If you have a Micro SD to SD converter you could insert memory card straight into PC and just drag and drop files. Its a lot quicker than Bluetooth. (be carefull which folders you drop into, as for phone to recognise the files the MP3's & sound files need to be in a 'music folder' - MP4's & 3GP's need to be in 'video folder' and so on.)
Hope that helps?
I was also getting bad format error on my LG kc550. Did a little research (read the instruction book) and if you want to properly format your card to work with the phone you must insert the card into the phone then connect the phone to your computer via the USB cable supplied. Go to "My Computer" and you should see that the phone and memory card are displayed as two separate external devices, when you try to access the memory card your computer should ask you to format it. Click Ok and a Format box will come up, click Ok again and your computer will format the memory card acordingly.
Unfortunatly this resulted in my losing 4gb of space on the card, i dont know wether its based on percentage or a fixed amount the phone needs but if thats the case you will need more than 4GB for your card to be formated for your phone
