There is a program, where you can manage the notebook, called "esettings". That has an option, to turn the fan allways on.

The cause can be either the motherboard is sensing the proccesor is overheating, but it isn't and is running becausse it thinks it needs to be cooled, which is not right, or the processor is actually running too hot, so check around all the vents, side and underneath and carefully hoover with an attachment around them, if it still continues, then a specialist repairer is requird to check board and processor.

Why does my pc turns off by itself

This problem is usually caused by overheating. Either the processor or the power supply. I've also seen it happen when too many devices are powered from the power supply. Open the case and clean all the "dust bunnies" out of the cooling fans and ductwork. Make sure all the fans turn when you power it up. Use a can of "Electronic Chiller" to cool the processor while things are running. If it stays on, you've found the culpril. It not, replace the power supply.

Way to slow down the z5610 acer fan? it runs loud after 2 years.

http://computershopper.com/desktops/reviews/acer-aspire-z5610

A) Needs to be opened up. Needs to be cleaned out inside.

Two years? Bet it looks 'scary dirty' inside. After you have cleaned out the inside, donate the 'Gunk' to local mice. They can use it for a condo. (I would charge them rent)

B) Processor may need old Thermal Paste replaced. Clean top of Processor, and bottom of finned Heatsink, and PROPERLY apply fresh, new Thermal Paste.

Primer:
Air is used to cool the inside of that All-In-One desktop computer. The Processor and graphics chipset, are the two hardware components that give off the most heat.

The finned Heatsink, and Processor Fan, are the two cooling components for the Processor. When they get clogged with 'Gunk' over the years, the cooling capacity drops -> tremendously.

The Processor fan sensor, senses that the Processor is too hot, and speeds the Processor fan up. Also BIOS speeds the computer case fan/s up.

Could also be that the bearings for the fan/s are bad. Replacement fan, or fans are needed.

ONE THING HOWEVER Karl, to work on this All-In-One you need to wear an ESD wrist strap, and have it's alligator clip connected to a good ground source.
This is just like working on a LAPTOP computer, NOT a desktop.

Average example,

(And of course unplugged from power)

Need guidance in cleaning, and replacing the Thermal Paste, just post back in a Comment. I will guide you.

When my netbook is on charge why does it sound like the processor is over worked?

Your processor doesn't make noise. The noise you are hearing is most likely the fan. If it is the fan, the noise is because the processor is overheating which may be caused by the collection of dust or the computer sitting on a soft surface such as a couch or a bed and blocking the vent. Some computers just have very loud fans.

make sure processor fan is working fine. you may hear the sound of fan on the left side of the laptop. and make sure its not getting heat soon. If the fan is not working you need to replace the fan. If if gets heat soon that means you have to put processor cooling paste.IF the fan is working fine and the processor heat is normal, then you need to re-fix the RAM. Then it will work fine..ok

Loud fan noise on acer aspire T690 PC

The first thing to do is to clean the PC. More than likely it is just dirty. Remove all cables and take it outside. Remove the side panel and using compressed air give it a good cleaning. Pay special attention to the fan areas. After cleaning check to make sure the fans are all working and that the processor cooling fan is firmly connected. http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11319_7-6240575-5.html?tag=rb_mtx;wp_body

Hi,
If the noise is always coming (when no application is running) then there might be the issue with the processor fan cleaning.
