I want to wipe out all programming on a nortelflashtalk voicemail

I have forgotten how to wipe out all programming on a Nortel Flashtalk Voicemail

    After complete wipe of of all SW, now I can't log back into voicemail admin even after resetting pw for admin manager

Nortel phone voicemail


Hi Oscar,

It sounds like your voice mail and your phone extension are either totally different from each other, or your voice mail isn`t licensed properly.

When I transfer a call from the front desk, the person's voicemail does not pick up, it transfers back to front desk.


Either the voicemail box isn't setup, the voicemail box isn't assigned to that extension, or that extension has forwarding setup that is incorrect. I have no experience with a Nortel phone system though so if you need specifics on how to get into those areas of your system to fix them you'll have to wait for another response.

If none of your voicemail feature codes(f980-f989) are active, then that means that the system doesn't recognize any nortel voicemail on the system.Which means that a) your system has a non-nortel voicemail system attached to it, b) theres no voicemail attached to the system at all or c) the voicemail is no longer functioning.

Voicemail setup


If you are asking how to setup the voicemail system, the best thing to do is to hire a technician familiar with all the installation & programming procedures. Hope this helps.

Need to reset my voicemail password without original password


To reset password on any tel set go to main set and press feature 983 this gets you in to programming you need a password and default password is normly
120000 for 2 digit locals and 1020000 for 3 digit locals etc.enter this password and press ok go in to
mbox type in mailbox press change , press reset password. hope this works

dial your voicemail, put in your password, after you are in the voicemail, press 8 and listen to the prompts, it will tell you were to record your name for the company directory.

How to set up voicemail


If you have an active voicemail... but have never activated it:
The default password is 0 0 0 0 (four - zero's)

The voicemail will talk you right through setting up voicemail, after the set up you can press 8 anytime you are in the voicemail to make changes to your account.

Norstar Mailbox Problem


The mailboxes don't need to have saved messages, to be full. More then likely what is happening is that when people call in, they are getting a generic/Auto Attendant vm box, and that one is full. Try checking vm box #100, or #10. That is the Nortel standard general delivery vm box. Please let me know is this helps, or if you more help.
