Question about Kenmore 15864/15862 Top Load Washer
Could the fuse be the problem?
How do I get to the fuse on the Kenmore 70 top loading washing machine?
It's not going to be a fuse. The person that has the same problem is on the right track. There are two solenoids on the water inlets, one for hot and one for cold. Check and see if it works on one but not the other. Then take off the hose to the one or one's that aren't working and try cleaning the screens first. There are small little screens inside of the inlets and if you have hard water or anything it will build up on those screen making it so the solenoids don't turn on the water. A simple cleaning of the screens may fix it. If not you may need a new inlet solenoid. Those can be picked up at your local appliance repair shop. Just give them the make and model of your washer. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions let me know. Good luck.
