If there is no sound from any socket is sounds to me like a driver issue - A driver is a piece of software that 'handshakes' between the hardware i.e your speakers and your soundcard. Please clarify what operating system you are using, as you do not state it in your original question - I will then try and assist you the best way i can

It is the light green jack. Make sure the mute button isn't on by clicking the 'speaker icon' in the task bar and making sure the mute button isn't checked.

Altec ACS 45.1 is it possible to rewire speaker, 1 is no sound, other loose fitting connection?

Yes it is possible. If the speakers are good. you can replace the wire.
It is a stereo spekar I think . You need a stereo 3.5 mm jack. It has three connection point. The ground are common, the left channel is the tip, the right is the middle ring.

How do I connect a Logitech z506 surround sound system to an LG 50LS4000 TV

It will never fit because that surround system was made for an audio card for desktop computer. Green is main, tan is surround and black is bass or woofer. There hasn't being any adapter yet for this type of configuration, sorry.

The light green is the speaker connector. Both on sound card and speaker adapter. Not sure what the others are, based on details given.

Hi Aimee,

Is it just the speakers that don't work, or is it the computer that doesn't output any sound / audio? Did you make sure that it's the speakers that are the problem? You can check if the computer sounds work, by connecting a headphone or earphones, in place of the speakers. Put them into the green jack at the back of the computer.

As far as to test your speakers, you can try connecting them to another sound source, like a CD or DVD player or an portable media player or walkman. You can also connect them to a friend's computer. This is the only way to test if the speakers are working. Note that the problem can also be in the speaker cables or with the internal electronics which drives the volume, bass and treble controls. For this, you'll need to call a service technician or the dealer.

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Raspal

Putting Speakers in Door Dont Know how to wire them correctly

Wiring speakers with reverse polarity doesnt have adverse effects. It cant give distorted sound. Seems like the wiring from the head unit to the speaker might be at fault. For testing purposes, connect the speaker directly to the head unit, bypassing, the car wiring. If the sound comes out alright, you have to replace the car wiring. If it is still distorted, speaker might be at fault. Try with a different speaker.

Can 2.1 pc speakers work thru headphone jacks?

No it's not possible to have a sound. Because the HDMI and the Headphone (3.5mm jack) are on two different technologies.

The monitor does not have a way to convert the sound from HDMI to Headphone.

There could be a converter that might convert the sound signal from HDMI to headphone (but I'm not sure).

Just need to know how to hook up proper for stereo sound

start with the right speaker, that is you control for now. plug in the power supply one end to the wall the other to the right speaker, connect the left and right speakers, connect the sub woofer to the right speaker, (most of the plug and sockets are color coded, or at least different sockets sizes so they will only fit properly with the correct connector) now you should have one wire left coming out of the right speaker-that gets connected into the GREEN socket of you computer.
Now you should get sound...good it works.
From here we go to START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL->RIGHT CLICK ON SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES->VOLUME TAB->ADVANCE (TO THE RIGHT OF SPEAKER VOLUME->SPEAKER SETUP->FOR THE DROP DOWN ARROW SELECT DESKTOP STEREO SPEAKER->APPLY->OK
And that my friend is properly done.
enjoy,,, please leave a rating, thank you

No sound

Is the speaker with no sound, actually connected to anything? (if it's connected to the first speaker, it's possible that the speaker is simply dead and needs replaced)
