I have a vista home premium. Microsoft says I have to have Vista ultimage so I can download virtual pc before I can install winxp. I don't want to pay 160$ to upgrade! How do I go about installing winxp on my vista computer? just put the disc in and try to install?

That would be perfect except virtual PC won't download on vista home premium. I have partitioned my hard drive but still can't get load winXP because it is a 32bit program and vista is 64bit

Yes
if your machine is 64-bit Vista, then you need to install Windows XP-64bit.
you can install Windows 32-bit on a 64-bit machine, it will work. just not as good. However, you can't install 64-bit OS on a 32-bit machine.
if the machine is 32-bit then you can install any type of OS you want, you can even install them as dual boot.

go to the following link to downlaod the Vitual PC

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/product...

once you have done that, you can install Windows Xp by using the Windows XP CD.

make sure you have enough hard drive space and enough memories to run both OS.

don't format the Vitural PC. just install the Windows XP. (you do need a legal copy of the OS).

you can also do a dual boot system. Search the Internet, there few good multi- boot programs.

try dual-boot. that should work. Since it will not see the Vista OS.

but the draw back is restarting the machine when you want to change OS.

Can not get Adobe PhotoDeluxe2.0 to install on windows 7. Worked fine on Vista

Adobe Photo Deluxe is an older program that does not seem to be compatible with Windows 7. you should contact Adobe to see if they have an updated version.

However, you can try the following to see if it will help.
If the program is not compatible, then you may try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
Use the following steps:
1)Right click on the Program
2)Click on Properties
3)Click on Compatibility tab
4)Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever operating system the program was running successfully.
Refer to the link here: Make older programs run in this version of Windows

Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and windows 7 (x64) Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 and windows 7 (x64) Hi everybody. I am trying to install Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 on Windows 7 (x64) but I am not able. I tried to follow...

I do not believe this is possible. Adobe now makes 64 bit only programs since coming out with Creative Suite 4 and Photoshop. If you have 7 Professional or better, you can download Microsoft Virtual Machine and Virtual XP SP3 machine free (Microsoft.com) and install Photo Deluxe in the virtual machine.
VirtualBox is another free one.

Adobe photo deluxe 2.0 operated fine on XP system. On win7???

The Problem.... is that Windows 7 will not automatically share files with an XP operating systems, even if you are dual booting!.... you need to manually configure your photo software to include that drive in it's library.

It's actually good that Windows acts this way, it's SECURE!.... Windows 7 is by far the most secure version of windows so far... to say the least. believe it or not, you can (Not recommended to the averange end user fyi) run it without any 3rd party PC antivirus software (as long as you are cautious, REALLY know what you are doing, and only visit secure sites, and are updating Windows Defender constantly...)

Good Luck!

Does it work with windows 7?

That depends on which vesrion of windows 7 you have ?

The basic versions of windows 7 do not generally alow every program to be run that was designed for an earlier version of windows.

HOWEVER
I have found no problems running any application at all so far even if it was intended for an earlier version of windows.

The home premium version of win 7 is the lowest and may on rare occasion cough and spluter when running XP/vista apps.

In my tests sometimes the installation does fail but windows 7 then takes over and asks if I want to re-install using corrected setting.

If I let it do that then the installation has always worked.

Installing Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0 on Visat

You may need new software, you might want to look for it on the web. Is your Vista 32 bit or 64 bit version? If 32 bit, you might be able to run it in compatibility mode.

Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0

Go into the PhotoDeluxe2.0 CD ROM file list, right click on setup.exe and then go to the compatability tab. Select Win 98/ME. Hit OK. Then double-click on setup.exe. Program should install on Vista. Then find setup.exe on your hard drive, and set the compatability to Windows 98/ME. Program runs, but says something about not being able to load 16-bit driver. Just cancel out of that popup window. Program works fine...for me...so far.
