SanDisk 2GB Memory Card write-protection

Hi,

Hope you can help me out with following problem. I just purchased a SanDisk 2GB Memory Card. I would like to upload photo's on this by copy/paste from my pictures. The disc reports write protection is on. I have switched the little switch on the side of the disc, so this is not the solution. can you please tell me how to switch write-protection off?

thanks

Hey I just figured this one out dont know if it is a cowinkydink or what but on the adapter the big one it has a little slide you wont see it unless you look for it, its on the leftside, it says lock one way and unlock is the other. So I switched it to unlock and it seems like its downloading, I havent got the error message about the write protection yet and its still downloading, Try that and see if it works, Im gonna try mine and see in about 4 minutes. Good Luck!

Hi, slide up the Write protection switch which is white in color for the Memory Card Adapter to remove Write protection and Slide down to enable write protection of the Memory Card.

If you are using a microSD/microSDHC card or a miniSD/miniSDHC card, insert the card into the standard SD adapter.

My sd card no farmate plz help me

Hi,

You'll probably find a write protection switch on the side of the card. Just move the switch to the unlocked position (you probably moved it by accident). Then try formatting it will work.

Hope this helps.

I am unable to format my memory card? i have purchased new sandisk 2GB micro sd memory card, but in few days this problem will occur

Hi there,
We Wish You a Happy New year.
Right Click on the Memory card and check for properties and see, if it is showing 1.85 gb then you need not format or try to format in FAT32 if you are using NTFS.

Hope this helps you. Cheers!!!

How I remove the writw-protection to the memory card

Hi!

In order to remove write-protection from the memory stick, connect it to the device in which write-protection was implemented on it then use the feature of the device to remove write-protection off the memory stick.

Should you require any clarification, you may write back.

Locked 2gb micro SanDisk Phone card, how do i unlock it?

SD cards and microSD adapters have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
