Question about Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Car DVD Player
All is normal until screen starts to tilt up. i believe it might be stretched wires maybe there is a nick in the wire band. where can i get it fixed locally without spending as much as getting a new unit. i live in Pa.
What you need is called a flex ribbon for the unit. Its a cable of flat wires that will be attached from the screen to the head unit.
you can find them on Ebay for like $60 or $70 but that will fix the problem with it. I had that same problem with my AVH-6500dvd and bought the flex ribbon and then I installed it myself but it was not a simple task to do. I would recomend taking it somewhere to get fixed.
