    connect

  • FORMALSAURUS Jan 14, 2009

Now. I've had my iTouch for a while now. I bought mine right about the time the new ones came out. I really love it, it's my baby and I take it with me everywhere. My wifi has been sort of choppy as of late, but within reason. Last night, I pplugged it in like usual, on my wall charger, and went to sleep. This morning, i woke up, went to school, and it wasn't finding the school's wifi. I assumed it was the schools issue, because our server is an Xbox, and a toaster crudely taped together. However, I returned home today, to find out that... My iPod will not connect to my wifi. at first it couldn't find any, and then I did a restore, with the restore button on my iTunes, and now it finds the wifi, but I cant do anything with it. Please help. I need to IM people to be happy.

my college has a wifi network set up specifically for iphone's, ipod touches and other mobile wifi devices. The ipod touch downloads a certificate and the user is asked to enter his school username and password. i am positive I am entering both correct but when I click on the wifi network it never connects, nor does it come back as unable to connect. It simply stays stagnant with the spinning connection symbol next to the network name for as long as I've deigned to watch(longest being 25 minutes).

Any idead would be much appreciated

Could you be more specific with what the issue is?
Home Wifi?
Router type?
WEP or MAC filtering enabled?
Did you already configure your Wifi settings:"If the network
requires a password, tap Security, tap the type of security the network uses, and enter
the password."

I finally discovered the problem. I have a Linksys wireless
router, so when I tried to log on with my iTouch, I got the
message "Unable to join network "my network name" when
I typed in my password. One day, after many trys, I tried
typing in the network security key for my router, and Voila,
it worked. For some unknown reason (to me), the iTouch
recognizes the the network security key as the password.

Go to your computer and type in 192.168.1.1 it should take you to your router's main menu. Then search for something like Wireless Conection or Wireless Config, it should then tell you your roouter's name and password.

SOURCE: i got a new itouch ipod, where can i get a wifi connection?

To clarify the solution from Jesus_Juice: in order to get WiFi at your home, you must have a wireless access point. Normally this is through the Wireless Router that you can install if you have some form of Broadband Internet connection: FIOS or Cable.

So, you must have broadband and a wireless router.

SOURCE: connect itouch to wifi

Hi mac42eli,

You need any router or wireless access point to conenct your ipod touch to the internet or even your home network.

These days most wired routers will also have the option of wireless. You can check this by entering the routers configuration page. Usually by typing in 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. Or more simply, google you wired router model to check.

Bluetooth is not currently available for connection in the ipod touch or iphone. The iphone supports it, but for bluetooth headsets. Therefore, regardless of the fact that your mac pro (very nice computer by the way) can support it, your ipod touch can't take advantage of other bluetooth devices.

I hope this helps.

Nathan.

How do I test for a poor ground wire as opposed to a bad ground wire?

One tiny wire has very little resistance. Turn up your Ohm meter to it's highest setting. Be sure to have it calibrated exactly the same for each test (zeroed out). The very good connection should read infinite but the tiny connection should show a tiny bit of resistance. It's difficult but not impossible. Get a friend to help so the resistance in your body doesn't affect the data. Use one hand and new clips.

How to connect speakers logitech z 5500 to the TV Samsung UN32F5500 32-Inch 1080p 60Hz Slim Smart LED

Hello there!
I have seen manuals of both the systems. You have two options to connect Logitech z5500 speakers to Samsung UN32F5500 TV.
1. With Optical Audio Cable.

0daa0bcc-2410-4f3f-9f1b-001ec53d8ec3.jpg

2. Stereo Ear Phone Connection.
Simply plug in Green earphone cable of Logitech Speakers to Green Audio out Jack described on Page 7 of the TV manual. If you are using stereo EP you may not experience 5.1sound separation. And it is also mentioned that you should not use other two audio cables of the tri-EP-cable provided with Logitech speakers.

Have a nice day!

How to reset my combination lock number on ipod A1236

Hi William
If you have forgotten the code or put the wrong code in your ipod, you can unlock the Ipod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one Ipod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock Ipod using either (the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs). . . you can restore your ipod to factory settings using ipod Updater.
Please note that this will erase all data on your ipod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your ipod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your Ipod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted.
Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your ipod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your ipod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the Ipod, which will erase all music and data.
Please take time to rate me
Bud
