Hp Color Laserjet 1600 says Jam in tray 2 bt there is not paper jams

Open the paper feed area and the printer, examine the paper feed path and make sure there isn't a page or piece of paper jammed in the path somewhere.

What's the problem "jam in

There is a sensor flag that hangs down where the paper comes out on top, check that as there might be something stuck in there, also, pull the fuser out and look in there closely because it has a small exit sensor flag on it and could also be stuck in the open position( looks like a little black plastic piece that is spring loaded and when moved should snap back when released) give it a shot... My HP laserjet 1012 smears the ink and wrinkles the paper on one side of the paper. What may be causing this problem?

Probalbly the upper fuser roller has some of the film torn off. Look close with a flashlight through the back of the machine.

Why the color fade towards the edge?

turn on/off, unplug, wait a minute, plug back in, should reset.
take all paper out. check to see if any paper pieces is jammed in the rollers
go to application folder for your computer, dbl click icon for make of printer for settings to ensure everything is order.
lastly, check hp's printer trouble shooting web site for more information. or the printer head might had a fleck of dirt on it, run a print test
good luck.

Paper jam

If you have pulled out paper that was stuck before you may have flipped a sensor flag out of position. I have found in the past small pieces of paper left under the plate at the very bottom of the toner catridges where the paper comes in.

Hp Color LaserJet 3500 Paper Jam

The only way to find paper remnants is to unplug the printer and inspect the paper path. It also helps to have a good focusing flashlight, skinny needle nose pliers, a can of compressed air (used sparingly) and a long thin probe. Your specific printer should be giving you jam messages with a location code as well. I?ve attached a link to an HP page containing a diagram of the 3500 paper path and the error code jam locations: http://h41206.www4.hp.com/webapps/IV3/node.iv?locale=en_us&prodSeriesId=315862&node=prodITRC%2FNL_HW_IPG_plakCLJ3500_EN_01_E%2FN1%7C6%7C9&prodTypeId=18972&serverId=1#src I solved this problem in my shops years ago by not letting anyone else clear jams OR insisting that any paper removed as a result of a jam is given to me. If any corners or pieces are missing I know what to look for and approximately where. Good hunting and please don?t forget to rate this post.
