Re: Xbox 360 won't recognize my controller!
Turn on the X-Box, turn on the controller, press the "Find" button on the X-Box, It's the 3/8" ROUND button on the consol. Press the find button on the controller. It's the 1/8" round button next to the LB button.

I have come across a few questions asking why a wireless controller is on but not connected, or why it is on and no corresponding green lights were on, etc.. So here it is: DRAGONF1R3 REPAIRS' GUIDE TO SYNC YOUR XBOX 360 CONTROLLER TO IT'S CONSOLE
Quite a title I know, but the actual guide is very simple.
Step 1: Power on your Xbox 360 console. In this guide I'm assuming everyone already has their console hooked up, if not, contact me.
Step 2: Power on Xbox 360 Controller. Make sure it has a battery pack that has correctly place and working batteries or charged re-chargeable battery pack.
Step 3: Locate the small circular sync button on your controller. It is near where your controller can be plugged in (between the LB and RB).
Step 4: Locate the small circular sync button on your Xbox 360 console. It is next to Memory Unit slot 2.
Step 5: Press and hold the controller sync button until the green power lights start spinning.
Step 6: While your controller lights are still spinning press and hold the console sync button. The console's lights should spin also, then flash, and finally show the player slot light on both the console and the controller.
Viola! You've synced your wireless controller! You can sync up to four controllers. Also, you can use this guide to sync to different Xbox 360 consoles. So you can bring only your controller to your friend's house.
Note: If you sync your controller to another console, you will have to re-sync it to your own afterwords.
Yeah to sync the controller all you do is find the little button on the back on the controller on the left handle thing and hold it and the sync on the xbox. I had trouble at first two. But its a great controller.
The easiest way to sync any control to an xbox, providing the controller is xbox compatible, is to connect the controller the cable to the xbox360's usb/controller port, that should automatically sync the two together, after that has happened, you can simply unplug and enjoy.
hi there, just a quicky...but ur wireless headset dosnt sync to the controller it syncs to the xbox :-) it dosnt matter which controller you use its synced with the xbox & not the controller ! if ur using 2 different controllers depending on which you switch on first will take player 1 as will the wireless headset. if after you have switched it on (the xbox) you decide to use the other controller it will obviousley take player 2 slot (even if you switch the other controller off first) as will the headset ! hope this helps :-)
I had the excact same problem with a Microsoft wireless controller. It just showed it synced fine and the controller dropper off the rig right after, keeping blinking idly as always when unconnected.
Solution: When you power the console on with the X button on the controller, try pressing the connect button on the controller then, apparently the console looks for controllers when it's just opening the user interface. Had to try it twice but it synced fine just as I was giving up hope, and has been working ever since!
