There is a small "lever or slide" for a lack of a good name at the moment . It is located at the base of the post where the arm is attached . It has a small lip on it that is what you use to slide it out , allowing the arm to slide off the post. It works as a" keeper" that is pushed back in to keep the arm attached when the arm is slid back onto the post .

SOURCE: How do you remove the wiper arm on a 94 Dodge Ram

throw a grenade at it and hopefully the arms will fly off, whatever happened to a nut on a threaded flange to hold wipers on. No wonder imports own the market.

1987 dodge dakota

You lift the wiper arm off the windshield, to allow
the locking tab to release

On the right side I believe, under the arm
where it mounts on the splined shaft,is a tab
you slide out

It will be a struggle to get the arm off as it is spring loaded

There is a tool that hooks over the end of the arm
to remove the tension, but you can do it the hard way
without it

remove wiper arms at the shaft, right at the cowl. each will have a nut on them but it is covered by a piece of plastic that will snap up for access. take nuts off and remove wiper assembly. turn key on turn wipers on make sure shafts turn when on, then turn off the shafts to stop in park position. then reinstall wiper assemblies in their park position .

Need to remove wiper arms 2001 dodge ram?

Remove the cover and remove the nut that holds the arm to the linkage. After the nut is removed lift the arm against the spring tension and gently shake back and forth a few times and it should pop off.
If it doesn't use a nut then pry the lock out and lift arm off.

Windshield wiper arm disconnected

My dad helped me solve this problem on my truck...

They simply pry off. He put down a towel to protect the cowl grill, took a hammer (using the split end) and pried them right off.

There was no mechanism holding them on, when we were done working under the grill, we used the same towel, but the other side of the hammer to stick 'em back on.
