Question about Casio PZ-5000 Personal CD Player

Visually impaired needs CD player

My father is 88 and cannot see well. I am making him CDs that I download from the internet to send to him to listen to for company and encouragement, such as teaching CDs. I am looking for a CD player, small, portable size (not a big boom box) very simple, few buttons, but with external speakers so that friends can listen also. It needs to have good sound and be able to play copied or home made cds. I can paint buttons with bright colors that he can see. Is there anything out there? (for under $70 hopefully)

Do you mean Durabrand CD-968
If you do then this CD player will only play NORMAL music CDs (or CD-R CDs). Not MP3 format This set will not play CD-RW encoded discs.

Not play all cds

It says online that it only plays the file types: .WMA and .MP3 If they are different then the ones listed here when you put your CD into your computer (explore the disk to view the files), then chances are they are incompatible. A solution would be to:
1.) Use a different media device (mp3 player, etc...)
2.) You can download the songs (as long as you have the original disk legally), make sure they are either WMA or MP3 files and reburn them.

Hope I answered you question! :)

I need to buy a cd player for a visually impared person.

The RIO CD player (with MP3 capability) is nice. A blind friend bought
one for another blind friend, and with a little sighted assistance to
get started, it's okay.

As I understand it, to make it easy for blind use, you put all the songs
in the root directory on the CD, and the blind user just remembers which
track they listened to last. I don't know if there's a bookmark
capaiblity where it picks up where it left off.

With all the files in the root directory (so no subdirectories) then
navigation becomes easy. That way as long as she knows the track
number, he can go right to it.

dont forget to rate me......

good luck....

I PUT A SECOND CD IN MY PLAYER ON A 07 ULTRA. NOW I HAVE TWO CD'S IN THE PLAYER NORMAL FOR 1 CD. HOW CAN I REMOVE THE CD'S

I'm afraid the only way to remove this is to unsrew all the screws and remove both the CDs. I would recommend you to send the player to a service center or a local mechanic.

Hello, i need an owners manual for a lenoxx cd-88 player - download, please

My model CD-88 programmable compact disc player player will go around but no music comes from it. It is one that you can use in your car tape player as it has an adapter. What is wrong with it ? Thank you. Estella Huffman grandmahuff@wcoil.com

Sony cd walkman reads but won't play

If you have a small enough screwdriver and some time it's not too hard. I just fixed one of my kids' walkman (same make & model) yesterday. The motor that spins the gears that makes the laser assembly move back & forth came loose. There is a single screw that holds this motor in place. They should use some lok-tite or similar when they assemble these things.

10 COPYING PROCEDURE
About copying
Copying can be performed easily from the set’s CD unit onto the CD-R unit.
There are two copying speeds (normal and high) and four copying modes.
• The mode switches as described below each time the normal speed copying button (NORMAL) or the high speed copying
button (HIGH) is pressed.
• The recording level is automatically set to the default value (0.0 dB).
• The repeat and random play modes are canceled when the copy mode is set.
• During normal speed copying you can listen to the sound as you copy.
• During high speed copying no sound is produced.
• No signals are output from the digital outputs during high speed copying.
• During copying, buttons other than the CD or CD-R stop buttons do not function.
• When CD TEXT compatible CDs are copied, the disc names and track names are also copied.
When copying, switch the relay mode to the normal or dual mode. Copying is not possible in the relay or mix mode.
For optimum recording, make sure there are no fingerprints, scratches or dust on the signal surface of the source side CD or
the CD-R/RW.
The auto track function is always activated in the copying mode. It is not possible to assign track numbers manually.
Disc dubbing: In this mode, entire CDs can be copied onto CD-R/RW.
(“All Tr Dubb” is displayed.)
Make CD: In this mode, entire CDs can be copied onto CD-R/RW then finalized automatically.
(“Make CD Dubb” is displayed.)
1TR dubbing: In this mode, single tracks on CDs can be copied.
(“1Tr Dubbing” is displayed.)
Scan REC dubbing: In this mode, the desired tracks can be selected from CDs and copied.
(“Scan Rec Dub” is displayed.)

MP3Player

If you are using Apple Mac or MS Windows, then download and use Windows Media Player 11. Would be the simplist option. Otherwise find where itunes has ripped ur CDs to and copy/paste the folders to your MP3 player. [removeable disk #]
