Presume you mean the lid switch striker. This removes via a single philips screw at the side of the lid/ striker - replace with new.

My GE XL1400 over-the-range Microwave does not power on to cook. The inside light will not turn off when the door is open or closed. Unplugged and re-powered with no change....where to start?

Easy....the reason the light does not go out when the door is closed and the microwave gun is not activating...is due to your door switch not "sensing" it being closed. Sometimes there two electrical switches on the door...yours probably have one and the actuating arm...metal tab on the switch is probably bent and need to be re-bent to sense door closure. Take apart the microwave and re-bent this switch tab...it's relatively easy to find and correct. The door switch might be bad too...won't cost much. 9 times out of 10 it's a bent switch bar.

My cement mixer stopped working today took engine apart and one of the push rods are bent shop wants 180 pounds to fix it but a Push rod is only 3 pounds is this easy to do myself? Engine is a honda...

Hello...ok..the first thing you want to consider is why the push rod bent in the first place...This usually happens because the cylinder is full of fuel because the spark plug is not firing...but this is for multi cylinder engines...
have you ever changed the oil???..You have to do this..even on small engines...If this engins has a pull starter..Did it turn over or did it sieze up....If it turns over...carefully remove the rocker arm....replace the bent push rod...it should pull straight out after you remove the rocker arm..replace the rocker arm....re assemble the engine parts using the proper gaskets...making sure everything is sealed...drain and replace oil.If the engine siezed up...then you have to get to serviced or replaced..I hope this was helpful.....let me know...PEACE...

Samsung b144s not spinning

What happens over time is the lid gets a little bent from use , reason it wont start unless lid is put down is because there is a lid switch that is called a safety switch, you might have to bend down lid some or this: Ok, first check under the lid, there is a peg that goes into the top edge of the washer. That is a switch. The idea between this is that it is a safety feature for mostly kids, so that when the washer is on that high speed spin cycle, that a child does not open up lid and stick there arm or hand in and have it injured. Most washer are designed so that the washer will only spin when the washing machine lid is down. So, of course you have it down, but sometimes the lid might have got a little bent or warped. So first try with lid down pushing down on lid while on spin cycle. If still wont spin, most likely it is that switch that that peg goes into, if you take a knife or flat head screw driver, with lid up on spin cycle and push into that hole with the knife or flat head screw driver and do not here a click when pushing it and releasing it, then you need to replace that switch, it is pretty cheep, normally under 20 bucks and a appliance store and when picking up the part they can tell you exactly how to replace it yourself, it is pretty easy and only takes a few minutes.

I had bent my shift arm then when i tried to replace i had to move the clamp piece that goes on the transmission so the rubber piece the connects to the rod the goes down there wouldnt rub against the bike...

I fear that whatever bent the arm forced the shifter with a lot of pressure and now, in addition to the bent arm, the bike has a bent shift fork. It is the bent fork that causes the shifting problem. The shift fork is a part of the transmission and is costly to fix. Below is a diagram showing how the shift drum rotates to move the forks left and right to change gears. Check with a Kawasaki shop to confirm my diagnosis. Please rate my answer.tombones49_154.gif

You do not have to replace both, Dealerships are a big gimmick. Do a little Google on youtube and it will show you the way to replace one. It fairly easy if the tools are available.

What does "attach finisher to main unit" mean?

the finisher is the unit that staples, collates, punches, staples. it is to the left of the copier and slides away. when it is slide away the copier will show the message. theer is an interlock switch that tells the machine it is against it. your switch could be bad. more likely the peg or arm is bent and not engaging the switch. should be an easy fix.

Gun wont sink nail

sounds like safety needs adjusted you have bent the arm and it is thinking that the guard is not fully depressed and thus it vents air . adjust it with wrench or straighten arm. I have had this happen before- but in my case the adjuster backed off- same result -look in manual for adjusting as well - should be there or take to service -easy fix and should be cheap
