First, make sure the batteries are in the correct orientation. Then hold the CLEAR button and press the ON button. If that doesn't do it, straighten a paper clip and gently press the reset button located on the back in a pin-sized hole below the book card slot.
If your jetBook is fairly new, I would check the warranty information and it may be able to be fixed. It sounds like the battery is defective, or is wearing out. If it is not under warranty however, replacement batteries can be found for around $20 here :http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=ectaco+jetbook+battery&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5694578107145482203&sa=X&ei=T3G_TZ_2LM-9tgej1dWqBQ&ved=0CGgQ8wIwAQ#

Hello. When you can not turn your phone on the cause is most likely a bad battery. or a completely dead battery. The related possibility is that your battery charger is no good. I recommend that you take your phone, battery and charger to the store where you bought them and have the technician test them for you. This is a free service, but if you need a new battery or a new charger, there will be a price for those things.
