It seems kinda wierd that it just happens in mail but from what i can find it seems these computers have power issues and overheating issues. So the first thing to reccomend is that you try to keep the bottom of the computer up and off of anything so it won't get too hot. Also chek the power settings and if you can get to bios check and see if it has any warning systems or auto shutoff.

The power setings are in the control panel in windows. To get there open the start menu and click on control panel. Upon some further research it won't be a problem in bios. Another thing to try is to update windows by going to this site= UPGRADES Beyond this it is a dell issue and might have something to do with their hardware and they will need to fix it

I can't get to configure my e-mail account"ojopojj@yahoo.com so that i can access it through Microsoft outlook

Per office.microsoft.com:
Add your Yahoo! Mail e-mail account
  1. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
  2. Click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
  3. Click POP3, and then click Next.
  4. Under User Information, do the following:
    1. In the Your Name box, type your full name the way that you want it to appear to other people.
    2. In the E-mail Address box, type your Member ID (or username), followed by the @ symbol and domain name.
  5. Under Server Information, do the following:
    1. In the Incoming mail server (POP3) box, type the server name from the chart below that corresponds to your e-mail address.
    2. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box, type the server name from the chart below that corresponds to your e-mail address.
  6. Under Logon Information, do the following:
    1. In the User Name box, type your Yahoo Member ID (or username). Do not include the @ symbol or domain name.
    2. In the Password box, type your password.
    3. Select the Remember password check box.

Note   You have the option to have Outlook remember your password by typing it in the Password box and selecting the Remember password check box. Having Outlook remember your password means that you won't have to type your password each time you access the account; however, it also means that the account is vulnerable to anyone who has access to your computer. Use strong passwords that combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don't mix these elements. Strong password: Y6dh!et5. Weak password: House27. Passwords should be 8 or more characters in length. A pass phrase that uses 14 or more characters is better. For more information, see Help protect your personal information with strong passwords. It is critical that you remember your password. If you forget your password, Microsoft cannot retrieve it. Store the passwords that you write down in a secure place away from the information that they help protect.

  1. To verify that your account is working, click Test Account Settings. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be prompted to supply or correct it. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Click More Settings.
  3. On the General tab, under Mail Account, type Yahoo! Mail.
  4. Click the Outgoing Server tab, and then select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.
  5. Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server, and then click OK.
  6. Click Next, and then click Finish.

 Notes

  • Do not select the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box.
  • Unless specified by Yahoo! Mail, all server and address entries are typed in lowercase letters.

When I power on its immediately shuts down may I know what is the problem

What i would like you to do is boot the PC into safe mode...
When that has been done, type in msconfig and go to startup tab
If there is an application that should not be there disable it
Run a spyware scanner if you currently have one/Virus scanner

The virus script is the most simplest script that just frustrates people

If the above does not work. follow this path

Start menu
Run
type in: regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In the Run folder has all programs that start up on startup... if there is one that should not fit, right click and delete the entry.

OR

1. Reset BIOS by take out/put back a battery
2. Replaced case start button (not power supply). You can check it by doing the following:

a. Open computer and find a wire that goes from a case start button to motherboard.
b. Power on the computer and pull out the wire that you found in step 'a'
c. The computer starts up

I can't shutdown my laptop

Hold the power button down for about five or six seconds, it will shut down then. If it keeps doing this, you need to look at what is running in the background that is preventing you from shutting down via the menu.

Click START
click RUN
type in msconfig
take a look at what is scheduled to load at startup and then try to decide if you really need to have that application on all of the time. BE CAREFUL. If you don't recognize an entry, leave it alone until you can learn what it is.

Phrases jump to another line

Think what you are doing is tapping the mouse pad with your thumb, and moving your typing position. It use to happen to me all the time until I purchased an HP laptop that had a mouse shut off button on it.

All you have to do is pick up your thumbs when typing. Feels strange, but only to prevent your situation.

Computer locks up or shuts down shortly after startup . However in safemode it does not!

Start with the basics. Run a check disk on it:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/kbtip.mspx
(which can be done in safe mode).

Go into MSCONFIG (start -> run -> type "msconfig" and look for anything in the "Startup" tab that looks unfamiliar or suspicious (nothing but garbled letters, or a completely blank entry)

Cannot connect to wifi on our bt home hub

Could be a variety of reasons.
Assuming you have not had it working before
Assuming the wifi is broadcasting it SSID
Assuming you have laptop connected by ethernet cable to hub:

Assuming you have XP:

Go to start/control panel/network connections/right click the wireless lan icon and select properties/select wireless connections and delete ALL previous entries.

With Vista go:start globe then

Control Panel\Network and Sharing\Manage Wireless Networks and delete all entries

Now:

press windows key and R
type cmd and enter
type ipconfig and enter
note lower set of figures ie 192.168.0.1
open browser and type in those figures and enter
should now open router firmware
When asked for log in use defaults of admin - admin or admin - password

navigate to wireless security and set encryption to WEP 64bit and create a simple encryption code - save settings

Change broadcast channel to 8

make sure wifi is set to open and not shared

Save all settings, allow hub to reboot and now see what happens

Laptop runs 6to10mins and turns off?

About your description I assume that the problem is related to a software conflict.
First of all check if the option Hibernate is Unchecked

Start >> Control Panel >> Power Options >> Hibernate (must be unchecked)
This can be a cause of your shutdown after 10 min.

But you said that sometimes before start the computer is shutting down, and that could be related to a some software conflict or power.

Be sure that your computer is not virus or spyware infected
Clean your computer and see what happen

Another way to avoid this kind of issues is reinstalling the OS again.
