the error light sequence that you are seeing is indicating a "backlight error". Most likely you have a bad inverter board -the board that powers up the back-lights behind the display panel. They might be available via ebay if you are a DIYer, or you need to call for sony service.
Ur tv power supply board is defective. That the board where the a/c power cord go into it.Replaced the power supply board,ur tv will have stable power and work again.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
A common problem with this television is the power unit. Some of the capacitors go out on them within 2 years. You can buy a replacement power unit for about $150 or if you know how to use a soldering gun you can purchase the capacitors for about $5 and fix the unit yourself.
I just fixed my Polaroid 3732 and it cost me $3.49. I would push the power button and the standby light would come on but the picture would not appear. After I changed the capacitors it starts right up.
Hi deborah card,
Lets first make sure your remote is not causing your problem,
Look at the light (led) on the remote, is it lit and pulsing?
If not you are having a problem with the control panel,
Have you recently cleaned your tv with a liquid?
If so you will need to dry the panel with a hairdryer, unplug the power from the tv, put it on low heat and hold it about 6 inches from the panel for a few minutes. With the tv still unpluged press all buttons on the panel a few times then plug back in and try it. Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. lone99star

What make, and model is your TV?Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards. If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!
It is the capacitor. It is really easy to fix, and it will cost you about $4. The capacitor is on the power board and it looks like a small battery. The bad capacitor will have a small bulge on the top, the good ones will be flat on top. You can buy them at Radio Shack. Just look on the side of the capacitor to see which one you will need. If you need any further info I would by glad to help. I have a 40in polaroid that this happened to and it works like a dream now.
