Question about AOC LM520 (Gray, Silver) 15 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Hi guys, My problem is that my contrast window in the display keeps on popping everytime I turn on my computer. When I push the "auto" button in the monitor itself, it will dissapear but after a couple of seconds, it will pop again. How can I solve this problem. Kindly please help regarding this problem. Thanks guys.
Hi, it might be that a sensor in the monitor is sensing change in ambient light and therefore reacts by auto adjusting the contrast. when you push auto, it will do just that and auto react. Why not try manual and set it to your desired setting and let it run that way. But then again, of course it is possible that something is really wrong with the monitor and you would need a qualified service personnel to diagnose/repair it. Hope this be of some help and pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

Tips for a great answer:
You can adjust the
brightness and contrast of your monitor to improve the readability of text and
to make digital pictures appear more like they'll look when printed.
To improve the results
when adjusting the brightness and contrast settings for your display, use
Display Color Calibration. (Display Color Calibration helps you adjust these
color settings and others.) For more information about calibrating your display
color in Windows,
see Calibrate your display.
The way you adjust
brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display.
Brightness and contrast buttons on the front of the monitor. Some monitors have brightness and contrast
controls on the front and use the standard symbols shown in the following
On-screen menu. You can change the brightness and contrast settings for some
displays by using an on-screen menu, and then setting the brightness and
contrast in the resulting menu. Many times, you can view the on-screen menu by
pressing a button-possibly labeled Menu-on the front of the monitor.
