Sounds like the router can only handle two local computers. I'm not familiar with a router by philips, assuming you got it from your ISP call them and make sure that it can support more then two computers, they might want extra money for more computers. Since I do not agree with that type of business model you can get overo n them by adding your own router (I prefer linksys) and then you can connect up to 255 devices to your internet connection and your ISP will think it is only one.

The wireless card is configured for your D-Link at home.
You need to configure your laptop's wireless card for the wireless settings at work too (ie the SSID and encryption etc.). Contact the network manager at your work for the wireless configuration so you can configure the wireless card with these settings.
It maybe possible to setup different profiles on the laptop's wireless card, one for home and one for work so you can just click on the correct profile depending on your home or work location.

Cant conect to internet using wirles with Windows Vista

Hi,

This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings, but before you perform this remove power from the modem and router for 2 minutes reconnect power and wait another 2 minutes for them to settle down.

Right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

Good luck.

How do i get this laptop to go wireless?

Hi,
start>run>type"ncpa.cpl">ok
in network connection window Right clicktclick on wireless network, see if its enabled if Yes, right click on it and click on "view available wireless networks", if you find your home network, click on it and it may ask you to enter the "WEP or WPA" key if its a secure connection.
now see if that connects, if not you may need to reconfigure your home networking router.
reply with the name of the router, if you need assistance in configuring your wireless router..

your feedback is appreciated :)

Computer wont reconogize router

If you are using more than one router on the same network make sure that they aren't all using the same IP range (example: more than one using the IP 192.168.1.1 and using the 192.168.1.x range.) If you are piggybacking routers then they will need to use different ranges.

If a LAN connected PC will not work while a wireless laptop is connected you need to go into advanced router setup, bandwidth management, and untick the three boxes labeled "active" to disable the band width management. Easy!

DI-524 One wireless connection makes others not ok

This is unusual, as it seems the router is allocating two pc's the same IP address. Go into your routers settings (internet browser and type the router address, eg 192.168.1.1)' and look at Client DHCP list and look at the IP addresses that each pc has been given and see if two are the same, they should be one digit difference, that being the last. Also go into the properties of both your pc's wireless cards and ensure that they are set to obtain an ip address automatically.
