We had the same problem. Our solution is that the camera is not able to regonize a chip larger than 512 MB. When we took pictures that we had on the smaller card that we had downloaded to our computer, put in the larger card in the computer and dragged the picture into the bigger card. It still would not display on the camera, but it will show on the computer and it works in a digital picture frame. I hope this made since, if you have any other questions, please email us at johnandsheri@yahoo.com

Added new memory card. Camera says that the memory card is full..How do I correct this?

Assuming it is not actually full, this might mean the card is incompatible with the camera (too high a capacity) or it might mean it needs formatting. Usually a camera will say if it needs formatting, so I would check the camera specs to see whether you have a memory size it can handle. SDHC cards are not backwards compatible with SD cards.

How do I format an SD card for a Vivicam 3785?

You can format the SD card in your ViviCam 3785.

This utility formats the internal memory (or memory card) and erases all stored images and data. Make sure your SD card is in the unlocked position.
1. Press the button to turn on your ViviCam 3785.
2. Press the MODE button twice to enter Playback mode. Then press
the button to enter the Playback menu.
3. Select [Delete] by using the up/down arrow buttons, and press the OK button.
4. Select [Format ] by using the up/down arrow buttons, and press the OK button.
5. If you want to format your SD memory card or the internal memory choose
[OK] by pressing up/down arrow buttons, then press the OK button to confirm.
To cancel the action, select [Cancel] instead.
[No Image] pops up after the SD memory card or internal memory
has been formatted.

Have a vivitar 3785 , it is new with a new memory card

Hi Sir

# Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
# 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
# 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
# 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
# 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
# 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

make sure that the memory card you bought is a secure digital (SD) memory card. the kodak memory you have might not be an SD card.

I can't find the memory card slot on th 3785 camera. where is it.

I checked out the user manual and it looks like the SD memory card slot is located right next to the battery. Just open the battery compartment and look near the hinge and you will see a place to put an SD memory card. Here is a link to a pdf version of the manual which is nice to have even if you have the printed version:

Take Care,

Pictures cant be viewed says no image-then wont take pics says card full?

try the memory card in a card reader and plug it into a computer. see if the computer can detect the card and the contents in it. if it does detect it then that means there is a problem with the camera not recognizing the card or files in it. if it does not detect it in the computer that means the memory card of the camera is the one having problems.

MEMORY CARD

I had the same problem today with a 2 GB card. I think it may be the size of the card. When I put in an old 32 MB card it worked fine.
