Question about Kyocera Strobe K612B Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Both Display Screens on Kyocera Strobe phone stopped working.

My Kyocera Strobe (KX21) phone suddenly lost it's two display screens. At first, it was just the small outer screen that started malfunctioning. Then, the large inner (i.e. texting) screen also ceased working properly. I did not drop or step on my phone; the two screens just suddenly stopped working properly. I believe everything else with the phone still works fine, it is just that the two display screens stopped working. What can I do to fix this?

I would suggest taking it to the phone company and asking them for help. The phone might still be under warranty, and you might be able to get it fixed.
But if that doesn't help, you can often buy new display screens for phones and install them quite easily.

I would suggest looking on ebay for a screen for them.

Also, it may cost a little more, but you can buy a new phone exactly like this one for about 60 dollars on e-bay. This would be a last resort, but it is an option.

Hope this helps!

Blank Screens

The flex cable in the phone is extremely weak and is prone to tearing if the handset it opened too far. It could either be torn completly or damaged enough to lose the connection. I would take it back where you bought it to have it checked out. Usually this will be covered by a warranty.
