Warranty If TV fails during warranty, what must i do to get it repaired? Must I ship it back to manufacturer or take it to store where purchased?

It all depends on the make of the set. top tier sets
(sony,rca, mitsubishi, pioneer,samsung) have factory warranty service available. the best thing to do is call the manufacturer.

With proof of purchase date, it will be possible to have the unit repaired or replaced under warranty. However, it is normally the manufacturer's discretion as to which option it will use. Manufacturers do not normally simply replace units. It will be up to you to prove purchase date, obtain a warranty return number (RMA), and you will have to ship the unit to either the manufacturer's repair facility or deliver it to a local authorized repair facility at your cost. The manufacturer will then determine if the failure is covered by warranty (some failures are not), and then repair or replace the unit if warranted. If not covered, they will repair at cost to you or return the defective device, whichever you request. Ensure that when you ship the unit, it is in proper packaging and insured for damage, since any damage that occurs before it reaches the manufacturer in shipping will not be warranted. Take photos of the unit before packaging and after packaging and make sure that you have the model and serial numbers recorded to ensure that if they repair or return the defective set to you that you get the same one you sent. They can, however, in many cases, replace the device with a refurbished unit that will have either a 90 day warranty or will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer. A refurbished device may not be the original model you purchased, but normally will be of equal or greater value to the one originally sent.

hi,hoping that the cable connections are right(check the cable connections once again)..... Sounds like you may have a problem with the video driver boards? I would call up the store where you bought it and ask for a new set or service on this one.
More than likely this is a bad display (lcd screen) the drivers in the lcd display have some problem...... the tv is just a month old so you are still under the warranty period....... just contact the sony outluet where you purchased or the manufacturer for servicing of tv

I purchased an HP laptop from Curry's. After about two months it stopped working, I took it back to the store but was told because I did not take out the extended warrenty it wasn't covered

Usually laptops are covered for at least 90 days unless they are a refurbished or used unit. Look in your owners manuals and papers for a statement of warranty coverage included with the laptop.
You may have to contact HP and find an authorized repair facility to ship the laptop to. Stores may be unwilling to take back units but the manufacturer normally has methods available to cover units under warranty.

I have a pair of O Rokrs and I dropped them. The piece from the frame to the earpiece came apart but I have all the components, can this be repaired.

In the United States, OROKR Pro is warranted against manufacturer's defects for 1 year from the date of purchase. Outside of the U.S. please contact your local corporate office for warranty information. Coverage is valid only with proof of purchase from an Authorized Oakley OROKR Pro Dealer. Oakley will have the option, at its discretion, to repair or replace the defective product for the consumer. This warranty does not cover scratched lenses. Oakley may replace or repair the product with new or reconditioned parts or product, and the replaced parts or product become the property of Oakley.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

Please note that this warranty does not cover the following defects or damages to your Oakley OROKR Pro product:

This is common in Mr. Coffee models. Depending on the age of yours, either take it back if it's under warranty, depending on your warranty statement in the book. Some you take it back to the store where you purchased it or you have to ship it to the manufacturer prepaid. If it's out of warranty, buy a new one.

No, there is no fuse.

Is the manufacturer's warranty still valid?
Did you purchase the computer via a credit-card that "doubles" the warranty?
Did you purchase an "extended" warranty from the manufacturer, when you "registered" it?
Did you purchase an "extended" warranty from the retail store?

Otherwise, find the nearest authorized HP repair outlet, and get it fixed.

Wow, viore sucks at making tv's and customer service


First,Most Manufactures only give a one year warranty on the parts and labor. You can look at the original Purchase Receipt for the tv for the Purchase Date. From that date you have a one year warranty. If you are past the one year then you are out of warranty and you pay for the cost of repair. Second You probably have a bad Power Supply and or a bad Main bd. Call the manfacture and ask for their Tech Support and go from there.
