It all depends on the make of the set. top tier sets
(sony, rca, mitsubishi, pioneer, samsung) have factory warranty service available. the best thing to do is call the manufacturer.

I have a 50" Vizio Flat screen TV and I got it as a housewarming gift, from my sister last November and now it has died. Nothing works on it, what can be done to resolve this issue?

With proof of purchase date, it will be possible to have the unit repaired or replaced under warranty. However, it is normally the manufacturer's discretion as to which option it will use. Manufacturers do not normally simply replace units. It will be up to you to prove purchase date, obtain a warranty return number (RMA), and you will have to ship the unit to either the manufacturer's repair facility or deliver it to a local authorized repair facility at your cost. The manufacturer will then determine if the failure is covered by warranty (some failures are not), and then repair or replace the unit if warranted. If not covered, they will repair at cost to you or return the defective device, whichever you request. Ensure that when you ship the unit, it is in proper packaging and insured for damage, since any damage that occurs before it reaches the manufacturer in shipping will not be warranted. Take photos of the unit before packaging and after packaging and make sure that you have the model and serial numbers recorded to ensure that if they repair or return the defective set to you that you get the same one you sent. They can, however, in many cases, replace the device with a refurbished unit that will have either a 90 day warranty or will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer. A refurbished device may not be the original model you purchased, but normally will be of equal or greater value to the one originally sent.

Sony bravia kdl52xbr2 problem

hi,hoping that the cable connections are right(check the cable connections once again)..... Sounds like you may have a problem with the video driver boards? I would call up the store where you bought it and ask for a new set or service on this one.
More than likely this is a bad display (lcd screen) the drivers in the lcd display have some problem...... the tv is just a month old so you are still under the warranty period....... just contact the sony outluet where you purchased or the manufacturer for servicing of tv

55LW6500 lg 3d tv power light changes colour to say its on but , no picture or sound at all. What could it be?

Sounds like the power supply has failed. If it is still under warranty contact the manufacturer for repair, or if you purchased an extended warranty through the retail outlet then contact them.

My tv went off for good during power outages, tried to put it on not responding, the power button rights red, please help.

Sounds like a failed power supply / power board inside the TV. Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will need to contact a local TV repair person in your area. If you think it may still be under warranty please contact the manufacturer to file an RMA. If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.

So sorry that I don't have better news but it is definitely a power issue internally.

Tv just went out i bought it back in febuary was wondering if it has a factory warrenty

If your tv unit is less than 12 months old then it comes with a manufacturers warranty, its a standard regulation and its mandatory that they offer at least 12 months warranty.
As long as you have the receipt stating the date or purchase, unless they have a computer record of store purchases, they will be able to honour your warranty.
I hope this helps you in some way. Also read my tip about warranty companies and what to do if you cant reach a satisfactory level of service. Good luck..

Wow, viore sucks at making tv's and customer service

First,Most Manufactures only give a one year warranty on the parts and labor. You can look at the original Purchase Receipt for the tv for the Purchase Date. From that date you have a one year warranty. If you are past the one year then you are out of warranty and you pay for the cost of repair. Second You probably have a bad Power Supply and or a bad Main bd. Call the manfacture and ask for their Tech Support and go from there.

Purchased tv from circuit city when going out of business was told warranty would begin on date of purchase from manufacturer. 30 days later tv went black. manufacturer says they don't warranty product...

Your warranty should very well be honored and yes, the warranty does start right when you leave the store as long as you have the original receipt, otherwise, they might just honor the production date via serial number. If you have the original receipt, then you need to tell them this and speak to someone higher up, like a manager. It is not your fault Circuit City went out of business.

Stand by light flashes eleven times no pic, no sound can't turn

As long as the remaining warranty is still in place, that is normal procedure. You can request a new one or to have the existing one repaired, but in reality, repairing your set is equivalent to getting a refurbished one. The refurbished ones are just ones that have been repaired under warranty when returned to Sony from a store because of a warranty exchange. Normally warranty claims that occur less than 30 days from purchase are handled at the retailer without involving the manufacturer until the unit is returned by the retailer to the manufacturer.

The exchange for a refurbished unit is just a way to have your problem resolved in as little time as possible without effecting the warranty.

Hope this explanation helps. (I've been a warranty station for numerous companies,)

Service under warranty

Hey 4square,

Whenever you purchase a product such as a large-screen TV or major appliance from your local Best Buy™ store, you may always contact us directly at 888-BEST-BUY (888-237-8289) for service and repairs. In the event that we do not have a repair technician in your area, we'd be glad to locate a factory-authorized facility on your behalf that is able to assist you.

Best Buy™ technicians are able to provide support for most of the products we sell under their original manufacturer's warranty, in addition to products no longer covered by a warranty for a fee. Remember that while your factory warranty is still in effect, you may always contact the manufacturer directly for service and support as well.

In some cases, products may need to be shipped to a service center in order to complete repairs, especially if they cannot be completed within your home. Please keep in mind however, that this is largely dependent on the type of item being repaired and does not apply to every product or all areas of the country.

Hope this helps you out.

Go Ahead. Use Us.
