Question about Samsung LN-R328W 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

Screen flicks from colour to black and white

I have a samsung 32" lcd tv screen and the image seems to flick from colour to black and white ever now and then? at the same time the sound goes.

    Same prob - its out to be repaired at the moment - as soon as I'm convinced they fixed it Ill post and let you know what was wrong athough it's that random I doubt it'll do it for them...

    Do you have SKY+ ? I heard its this model TV and a certain SKY box make that is the problem...

If it does it only on HDMI, then, the problem is the Main PCB. The HDMI cables are to heavy for flat panel sets. If the problem happens on just one input such as component and analog, then the problem is more than likely the source. Does the problem appear on DVD, but not the cable/satelite? If the problem appears on every input, then the problem is the main PCB. Hope this helps.

You may ahev failing T-CON board, try having a small fan blowing at the vent on the back of the TV. If you can post pictures it will help a lot.

LCD TV blanks out when I flick the switch for my room lights


Do you have surge protector installed? If not, you should use one, something like MONSTER CABLE.

Flicking on and off


If the LCD screen flicks on and off and you can see a dim image on the screen when you view at a sharp angle, then most likely you have a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp.

check control panel for screen refresh rate .and change rate too see if that helps.

Screen flicker when watching 1080i


Component video has a max resolution of 720p. in order to use 1080i or p you have to use hdmi or dvi connections. That is why you get the flicker.
