If you didn't change anything in modem side, that means the modem is still connected to internet. in this case you can connect the modem to your computer via the Ethernet cable. with this cable you will not need to install anything on your computer, just plug the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and start browsing internet.
The only case when you will need the drivers is when you want to connect the modem to your PC via USB cable.
Here is a link where you can find everything about your modem: quick guide, user manual, usb drivers ...
FYI for those people trying to use a ethernet and usb cable from a cable modem - it may work for a while but it won't work forever - your ISP will only allow one IP address out of the modem unless you pay for additional addresses (then you need a switch). Each device you have on the modem is fighting for that IP and eventually it will just quit working (if it works at all).
If you want more than one computer on your network (on the Internet or sharing printers/files, etc) then you need a router or a gateway (cable modem/router combo which I DON'T recommend).
assuming you using ethernet to connect the pc to the modem:
how about checking your ethernetLAN card on the pc if it's integrated with the motherboard you can enable it from the bios settings if it's an expansion card it sounds like you need the most up to date driver which can be downloaded from the card manufacturer's website if you have access to internet on another pc.
assuming your pc is connected to the modem via usb:
reinstall the driver for the modem .
another thing you can do is buy a usb to ethernet adapter which are available for under $5 on the market one end connects to the usb port on your pc and the other end is ethernet
and this should work .
This modem can be used via one of two ports:
ethernet port (network port)
or USB port
If your computer has an ethernet port, it is perferable that you connect through this as you will have better performance. If you don't then you can get an ethernet card installed inside the CPU.
If it's not possible to connect via this connection and you have to use the USB, then you will need drivers.
This website gives you full instructions on how to use this particular modem and also gives you the USB drivers if needed.
