SOURCE: 1992 buick lesabre starts fine.

You check the coils with a ohm meter. They should 6-8 thousand ohms at the spark plug connections. One lead to one spark plug connection and the other lead to the other . It's not likely a coil for stalling. If coil , Your car can still run on four cylinders. It can be a ignition module. It fails when it gets extremely hot. The module is located under the coils.

SOURCE: Dies after running about 2 minutes

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.

SOURCE: Ok again. forget what money i put into it. Right

first..you need to find out why it wont start after it dies... ck spark? ck fuel pressure? ck injector pulse?ck for 5volt reference voltage at throttle position sensor?old school hasnt changed much, you still need fuel, fire, and compression, we KNOW compression is OK, so you need to find out what you are losing. spark or fuel? drive it with fuel pressre gauge, should be 40-45psi. ASD relay is a big player.

does the check engine light come on or flash when the running issue starts? sounds like you have an ignition coil dropping out intermittenly.

We have a 90 Quattro V8. Last summer I changed

Your V8 Audi has two necessary sensors that malfunction due to their placement in extreme heat on the lower left side of the engine just inside of the header/down pipe connection. They read the flywheel position for the engines computer ECU. The reference sensor is always suspect, but the speed sensor may need to be changed, as well. The wire connectors to the sensors that sit above the FL suspension can be tested, or just replace both sensors to get some quality time with your V8.

When I start my Audi A6 Quattro, a warning light goes on which says Inspect. I don't have a manual. What to do?

It doesn't mean there's a problem. That inspection message is based on miles driven, not on any problem that the car has detected. On my A4, the "service oil" message pops up every 5000 miles. I just turn it off because I do my oil changes more often than that and the message does not coincide with my intervals.

On the A4 (and I suspect the same on your A6), to turn off the message, put the key in the ignition. On the gauge cluster, there are two stalks. Hold down the left one and turn the key to full electrical power (right before you'd crank the engine). Still holding in the left stalk, pull out on the right one and the message should change to "- - - -". Release the right stalk, turn the key off, and then release the left stalk. Turn the key back on and the message should be gone.

It may take a couple tries, but once you get it right, you'll be good to go for another (probably) 5000 miles.

92 audi 100 quattro wagon, problem staying started?

Could be the fuel pump. If there is pressure in the fuel tank, such as on a hot day it is just enough to get the engine to sputter a few times but not keep running. Might also be the cam position sensor (left rear side of V-6 engine ). A scan reader tool would indicate that.

I think your problem might be your fuel relay which is situated next to the fuse box in the engine compartment.
