Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 Digital Camera
Camera turns on ok and i can go to all modes but none of the buttons work i can't take pictures and no zoom. When I go to the scene mode all the modes keep scroling and stop temporarely when I push any button. This problem started when I was taking pictures and using the zoom. I have replaced the battery and SD disk.No Luck!I have even banged it on the desk and still no change.
Try a different desk. yes you've done something strange to your settings to get it to totally not work + disable the buttons.

SOURCE: FX8 all button frozen
I am not sure if this is a solution. but one time, i turned on my camera when the battery is really drained. usually (when it was broken) it will automatically zoom in. but that certain period when i turned it on, even before it can zoom in, the battery drained and the camera went off. i charged the battery and when i put it back and turned on the camera, it works fine. it is still working fine. good thing i didnt had the repair center fix it, because they charge really high price.

Turn the Kodak's dial to "Capture" mode. This brings up the camera display. Press the "Program" button behind the dial.
Press the "Down" button until "Date Stamp" is highlighted. Press the "OK" or "Set" button to access the date-stamp menu.
Press the "Down" button to change the selection to "None." This removes the date stamp.
Press "OK" to save the setting. Press "Program" to return to capture mode.
