Question about LG U8150

LG Phone Manager Ver 1.5.0.25 published 2003 doesn't connect

Connected to the proper USB port, cannot link the PC running XP Pro to the cellphone. The software accesses the correct files on the computer but will not link to the phone, an LG VX9100 env2. Any ideas? Do you know of any fixes or updates?

Make sure you have the drivers installed. I had this same problem last week. The computer was recognizing there was something there, but the phone wouldn't connect to it. Turned out to be the drivers. You can go to Verizon's website and get the drivers. You will have to download the access manager to get them, and leave it on your computer. That should install the drivers as soon as you download that. Good luck.

I think the easiest way would be to fit the SD card into a USB adaptor and plug the adaptor into the USB port of a computer. If you computer doesn't have a USB port, several printers have them and you can access that port when the printer is linked to the computer. Some printers will even take the SD Card direct! Once connected the Card will be just like a drive. And you can copy the MP3 files to your computer, then import them to the MP3 player.
USB SD Card adaptors are not expensive and can be found on Amazon.

Hi,

Make sure that the USB drivers for the systems are actually loaded and you are not running on the Default Windows drivers. To check this one out you'll need to look in Device Manager to see if there are any Listed USB Ports shown as not working or needing an updated driver.

With these propriety systems they quite often do not always install the correct drivers for USB and LAN ports and this can cause quite a few problems.

Try these steps to reinitialize your usb ports on your pc

1. Unplug ALL USB devices connected to the computer. If you are using a USB mouse and keyboard, temporarily use the older type PS/2 devices if you have them, if you don't then just leave them connected.

2. Hold down the windows key and press r

3. Type devmgmt.msc into the run menu and press ok

4. Click on the + sign next to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers

5. You might need another mouse to do this if you have a usb mouse.. I recommend you get a ps2 connector mouse which goes into the green round connector in the back of your pc.

6. Right click and uninstall first the usb root hubs. all of them then uninstall the rest of the devices you see under Universal serial bus controllers

7. Ones you have uninstalled everything you should see the Universal serial bus controllers there at all.

8. Now go ahead and restart your pc.

9. Ones you have restarted the pc your usb ports will reinstall in a moment stand by while it installs all of them. If you get warning messages click ok or continue installation.

10. Now go ahead and plug the usb devices back in. Install software if required, all usb devices if not faulty or broken should work now. Also note the error code if you get one?

This solution doesn't fix all usb problems so if you have a yellow ! mark there and device status reports a error code. Then it might not be a problem with your usb ports.

The drive is not registered with my machine after I connect it.


u dont have any specific drivers that came with the Targus dvd?
..mabe the generic driver is not exepted!
..or ur usb port is not configured properly!
...do u have usb 2.0!
...did u tried on other ports!
...try to force usb 1.1!
...last step: in bios, try to putt usb dvd , or usb , (or anything similar), to boot from, (make sure u have a proper disk inside the dvd.)
if it worked (and its not simple, u need to make many tries) , then its driver problem, and in xp pro, every thing can be fixed ;)

Yes, the external floppy drive must be connected directly to a USB port on the computer instead of to a USB hub.The PC can't see the drive thru the USB hub. Applies to both 32 and 64 bit.

Assuming you have SP 3 on 2000, it's possible the USB ports are bad.  Try a different USB device ie mouse, flash drive etc to verify whether the USB port is bad.  If this is the case, you can either purchase a USB 2.0 card and install it on your PC or run without USB ports.

if running XP, make sure SP3 is installed, service pack3
if USB fails try different USB port on that PC.

Cannot upload pics from camera to PC


Hi Ray;
Try uninstalling the Fuji software completely, through the Windows control panel. Don't use the supplied software at all. Make sure the camera is unplugged from the computer. Open "my computer" and note which drives are present. Now plug in the camera (still turned off) to the USB port. Turn the camera power switch on. Wait and see if a new drive icon shows up. It may take a minute or so. If you get a new icon (probably Fuji DSC or similar), you should be able to open the new drive and access the images through the various folders. If not, can you see images on the camera screen (when not connected to computer)? If yes, maybe a bad cable. If no, could be corrupted images on card.

http://www.abfnet.com has a bunch of be'ers that can help you - you can also search the forum for ton's of answers. One thing, if you have Microsoft Activesync on your system pc connect won't work unless you shut off the activesyncs access to usb ports. Just a thought.
