Reinstalling sound driver

How to reinstall the sound driver I have an Acer L5100 PC. The speakers were working fine for some months. Now, they are scratchy and fading with terrible sound quality. We just replaced them with super duper speakers with sub-woffer and the sound still sucks. Any ideas? By the way, we downloaded the most recent drivers. When we try the speakers on another computer, they sound just fine. It doesn't seem to be the speakers so what could be the problem with my computer?

Sounds like the sound device in your computer is going out. You can try to pick up a new sound card and that should fix the problem.

My computer model is acer L5100. I on it,i says no signal. I tried it afew times, it just says no signal

If you are getting "no signal" on your monitor right away when you start the computer, then try installing a dedicated video card.

If you get a signal right away and you can read info on the screen, but then it becomes "no signal". You should try getting the correct drivers for your video card here:

To install the drivers just boot into safe mode by pressing F8 several times when you start the computer until the boot menu comes up. Then select "safe mode with networking" or "safe mode"

...you can also try reinstalling your chipset drivers from here:
